Padma on Vogue India:(Un)Covered
A laidback (literally) Padma starts of Vogue India’s 2011 series in a white Chanel dress. You like? We’re hoping the editorial makes up for the cover.

She is so beautiful but I am yet to see a photo-shoot that captures her beauty well. Lets see if this editorial does that – cover is pretty lame.
she looks really good. atleast no one can complain that she has been photoshopped much. but the white sheets, white dress is too bla
LOVE it. She’s got this earthy understated sex appeal. simple white or green always looks good on her.
so what is wrong now, Payal?
This is Padma! She is hawt! And it looks like she just rolled out of bed.
The “just-woken-up-yet-so-sexy” look anyone??? Really PnP, you can say the cover is imaginative, but thats about it. Padma looks great, and the white dress looks pretty – but for that weird uncertain ruffle on the sleeves…..
ha ha ha !! i agree wid u Payal… Waste of beautiful resource by Vogue.
No Payal, she still looks hot. Understated but still hot.
…no she is still in the bed!! casual, relaxed hotness!!!!!!!!
there is barely any lighting on her face! she barely looks like padma lakshmi. who would ever choose this as a cover?
Why does she need lighting ? If there is any of it, it will look very fake for her skin tone coz it gives off the opinion that they are trying to lighten her skin tone or something. This seems very natural and nice to me !
I like Padma a lot. She reminds me of smooth hot, chocolate, (has to be about food) She displays confidence and a sort of risk taking in her approach to fashion and style that really makes it her own. She is definitely underrated.
I kind of like the laid back idea, but why did she wear a dress? Something more casual would have worked. Denim shorts and white shirt maybe.
dunno where my comment went.
will you girls be going the series of Best of 2010 posts? really missed that last yr as you two were travelling. heres hoping you make it up to us faithful readers this year :)))))) (pleeeaasseee???)
Oh so hot! Wish I looked like that waking up ;-)
She said in the interview that she’s happy about the way she looks: post baby, turning forty and all. I think that that was what this spread was about: loving yourself for what you are. And thats why it was shot in a casual, candid manner. Anyway, after seeing perfectly healthy, normal women photoshopped into anorexic mannequins on most covers of Indian mags, I shall happily take this natural look :-)
is this the best they can do with Padma????
Great unfussy cover! She looks lovely and relaxed.
