In Payal Khandwala

Wearing a rust-colored Payal Khandwala maxi, Vidya attended another promotional event for Shaadi Ke Side Effects.

This was a good look but I wish we’d see her in something other than the shirt-dress look. I’ve seen the trailers of the movie, and it didn’t seem like her character wears that many shirt-dresses.

  1. Somehow it doesn’t feel like she’s fully embracing her outfits during these promotions. For me, more than the actual clothing, there’s something missing from her personality when she wears them. She should just wear what she loves and what suits her! Not that this is bad…just needed a little tweaking- a thinner belt to start with.

  2. While I love everything about the maxi and how the model wears it (with an up do, a low lying belt) it just doesn’t seem to sit that well on Vidya. Perhaps its the hair, perhaps its just not the right fit for her body type. Ms B is lovely but really needs to get back to the drawing board style wise. She would look glorious and earn a lot of sartorial respect if she turned up in Fab India type kurtas and shalwars. Really.

  3. You know how actresses in Hindi serials wear the same kind of suits and saris, its the same way with Vidya. First it was the broad bordered sari now its the shirt dresses.
I liked it at first but now I really want to see something else.

  4. she looks very good. you guys need to go easy on her in general. she is working looks that are out of her comfort zone. do you see her looking uncomfortable in even one? this girl really is comfortable in her own skin…

  5. Shirt dress/ maxi…yay! She’s taking the right direction. This look is a thousand times better than the burgandy dress. I just wish it was knee length. Next…palazzo pants and a cute flowy kurti maybe…?

  6. You gals need to give her a break already. She looks fine, so stop with your ‘mean girl’ comments. If nothing she does is good enough for you, just stop featuring her. This cyber-bullying is getting very uncomfortable.

  7. I wish she would rock sexy dresses like the black LBD she wore in the last song promos. It was everything. *.*
She should, just to shut the curves-haters up & those who want to box her in a certain look they think is appropriate for a curvy woman to wear.
Hopefully one day soon. She looks great in this look.

  8. No hope for this woman. Jeez. The dress looks so damn good on the model and on her, oh hell NO. Like some else mentioned it has a gunda look. Her stance is so uncomfortable as always.

    • No… you’ve just fallen prey to the media conditioning of your mind to think however the thin girl wears it is the best way to sport an outfit. Even if the model looked like something that the cat dragged in, you would call it shabby chic… but a curvy girl can never get anything right.. because you just want her to stop being curvy and get thin already…

  9. Guys PLEASE give her a break! Why does anything she do have to be criticized?
I think she looks fab and extremely comfortable in the maxi. A maxi can suit all body types, not just thin. Every look doesn’t have to be dissected! yes it may not be perfect, but its not as if other actresses dress perfectly all the time. And even if they do, that’s the only thing they’re good at! :P
