Shobha’s look at a recent event reminded us of Nandita’s from a while back where she too paired a kurta/tunic with a crinkled silk skirt… Who according to you, was the one to wear her look better?

Nandita Das and Tisca Chopra made an appearance this past week in LA at the 7th Annual Indian Film Festival for the world premiere of “Gandhi, My Father”. Both ladies wore saris that they accessorized with gold batuas. Nandita wore a maroon silk while Tisca wore the same one from last year’s Filmfare Awards, this time with a different blouse.
We haven’t seen Tisca too many times in a sari, but even at the Firaaq premiere Tisca wore a contrast color blouse. Guess, we’ll have to wait for another appearance to see if that is her favorite thing to do! As for Nandita, we ( and you) loved her sari from the Firaaq premiere and after seeing that one, this one seems quite so so. Don’t you think?

The ladies of ‘Firaaq’ put a smile on our faces by wearing the ‘six yard wonder’. Just, for the fact, that they all went ethnic, got all of them, our vote! ;)

It is a sari we have seen before on Nandita (and thankfully she ditched the granny shawl), but the cast of Firaaq impresses at this premiere at Dubai Film Festival.
Call us biased, but going traditional at an international film festival always wins it for us. ;)
