Having marginally changed her outfit (the tunic), Nandita Das wore the combination to a recent premiere… You like?

  1. Am I the only one who thinks this looks more like a petticoat with a kurta than any lehenga/ ghagra combination? I do like the fiery red colour though

  2. it’s great to see nandita whatever she wears because she’s such a gorgeous and cool person. however, wearing red clothes on a red carpet is never a good idea.

  3. agree with Mia. i can care less what she wears unless it’s not too much in the face. she’s gorgeous and her clothes really don’t add or take away anything from her.

  4. Nope, don’t like it one bit. Regardless of her personality or her type of cinema, she is in the movie world and that equates to making an effort in how you dress.

  5. I’ve said this “elitist” comment (haha) umpteen times …. but…. I don’t think Nandita even cares about what she wears or not. Atleast it doesn’t seem that way. So in a way, I don’t know why we always have to critique her “fashion” because from what I can see, she’s far from fashionable… although it is my opinion that she looks great anyway!

Just saying, you know… I know she’s a celeb and ppl will comment on any celeb no matter what :)

  7. Stylist Arjun Bhasin is responsible for introducing the petticoat skirts as part of the boho chic look in 2002-03 when he styled Priety Zinta’s character for the movie Laksh. It became all the rage in India, you found most college going girls wearing crushed petticoat skirts with a short sleeveless kurti and a crushed stole. Nothing pretty about this hippie attire, Nandita surely wears it all wrong with a long stiff kurta.
