Sari Style
Throwing us quite the curveball today was Ms. Haasan in her yellow chikankari sari and kolhapuri chappals. If you look closely, instead of a petticoat, she seems to have worn hers over cotton pants as was evident by the third pic.
She did look sweet.
What a beautiful saree!! With the sloppy draping and cotton pants below, seems like the last minute plan!
Btw, why is she being referred to as Ms. Hassan? Does a woman always have to be identified with her patriarchal last name? Why not just Ms. Shruti?
What a non-issue to bring up! There are other real problems facing the worlds. Lets voice our opinion on them.
true, sometimes people are short of topics to rebel of. next thing they’ll say y even call her a lady? why not an equal human =p
My title is Mehta and I love being called Miss Mehta.
Me. Shruti is wrong English.
She does look sweet. Yellow looks nice on her. But inskirt would have been better.
a petticoat wud have given a nice fall to the sari..a missed op.
love the crop top/blouse way of making saree everyday modernwear, lovely color. but the bunching up of pallu on shoulder… i gues it was done while free moving hence rolled up.
The outfit is beautiful, Execution isn’t! Bad draping, the visible white pants, and lazy styling take away from the entire look.
clumsy all the way. Why spoil such a beautiful garment????
Where was this ? At the airport or for an event ? Either way , the drape appears to be sloppy and I dislike the blouse too but its a beautiful saree and Shruti looks nice too.
am all for trying unconventional under-layers for sarees, especially drapey/clingy sarees like this one, but the whole point is to wear something that streamlines the look — not appear as if you couldn’t find your underskirt and hence pulled on the nearest pair of pants! a pair of leggings would’ve worked well here.
How does one use the bathroom when the saree is tied over pants/tights? Re-drape each time?
How does one use the bathroom in a saree at all without ruining it? (general question from a curious person who has never worn one before)
You pick up the saree along with the petticoat like a skirt and do your business, then put it all down again (doesn’t ruin anything, speaking from experience of wearing all sorts of saree fabrics)
Use the petticoat to bunch it all up….similar to when you’re wearing a skirt, but with a lot more fabric! :D
Can’t figure out how u would do it with pants!
Looks like she is covering the metalic orange front of the mismaching blouse with the pallu.
A 2 in 1 outfit I guess, pull out the sari and go to a disco.
