Sari Style
Vidya gave us two sari looks in the past two weeks with hairdo that were drastically different. While, it was interesting to see her try the crimped braid, the look as a whole came off looking a bit vamp-y. Not our cup of tea.
Much prefer her in the latter look.

Love both looks..

“Vampy” , from what angle??? That saree makes her look very wide, but her make-up is very fresh and her face looks young.
Love her concert look, that’s how I dress for classical concerts as well. I am guessing it is a cotton silk saree.
There is something off about the braid and i dont think its the crimped hair! The make-up looks good in both the pictures especially in the one with the first sari!
I love how this woman wears ethnic with such grace! Yes, it can get monotonous.. Yes we DEFINITELY need more variety but anything is better than her pre-Sabyasachi days no?
yeh something is off abt the hair in the first appearance but she more than made it up for it in the second one
A bit vampy??? What is vampy about it???
She is rocking that crimpy braid look! Glad she is finally liking this whole dressing up thing…marriage suits her!
+1 – Definitely nothing vampy abt the look … and how fresh she looks!!
+1 And I love both sarees a lot.
She does the South Indian traditional look awfully well….the look that will have maamis at Thamizh weddings wanting to know if they can marry you off to the nearest unmarried boy they know.Love the second look but not a fan of the first.
Vidya looks lovely. She always brings something new, somehow, even though she’s always usually in sarees. I do prefer the second look, but she doesn’t at all look “vampy” in the first one. Sucha beautyyyyy <3
her draping and styling aside…must admit she has access to some of the beautiful sarees!! heavy heart sigh!!
I actually prefer the first look. She (and her makeup) looks good and the only thing that doesn’t seem right to me is that the braid is a little too loose at the point before it becomes a braid.
Say what you wish about her clothes (and Lord knows, I don’t shy away from that ;) ), I love her jewellery! the necklace and earrings at the first event are stunning.
And speaking of which, are there no professional gift-wrappers in Kolkata? The cellotape on that gift deserves a Wthey post of its own.
hahhahhaaha!! the cello tape comment of the day!!! LOVE
I was wondering what she was holding in her hand. Yes, that cellotape job is definitely WThey! Most people in the smallest of stores in India wrap gifts nicely, as far as my experience goes.
absolutely loved the “comments aside” note on cello-tape :D
And you need a stylist to put that together? *smh* Least she looks tidy this time around.

So bored of her. sarees can only be sooo different.
I totally disagree here :\ i think she look all the same all the time..almost same hair with sarees..and when she wear them differently (like in this case) then she wear a barid like this with saree :o dint like it a one bit and the second look is same old same old :|
Te crimped look rocks…funny how u label her monotonous n when she tries to branch out u are underwhelmed!
Although her hairdo may not look great, I love her Indian earrings. Both sets are incredibly beautiful!
