In Gaurav Gupta
Kalki picked Gaurav Gupta for the Awards and while she’s had success with the designer in past, this particular outing had us looking to see if there was a wand tucked in there somewhere. A little too out of the ‘Fairy Tales’ for us and unfortunately, with no happy in sight.

I think these kinda dresses need more fuller body to work best with… lean frame does not work that good with it…
Well said, the dress doesn’t do her justice. Highlights the features that could stand out as assets otherwise. But that’s just one thing. The other issue being the frock itself. The colour is wrong, the embroidery unnecessary and the swan-lakeish hemline detail plus the exagerrated shoulders crammed into one piece make it look like a last minute cut-and-paste gone wrong. Imagine the same silhouette in deep wine red and a plain, matt fabric plus skip the net skirt detail . Could be a gorgeous statement dress. But for that we wouldn’t need Gourav Gupta, would we? On a side, having looked at his HHC history, not sure if we do need him indeed, not a fan.
Kalki has been a bit off lately with styling which is unfortunate as I usually like her style. I agree with you all..this is a bit too much especially with that collar and sleeves. Seemed a little victorian to me.
eeewww… and she looks flat… why wear such necklines in the first place with that body-type
agree P & P !!!
Her twins need support..Agree with the wand part..
Definitely fairy taley ..but she still looks nice !
She’s just missing a tiara and the wand
Reminds me of White Queen of Narnia!
With that dress she could quite easily be a character in a Disney princess movie.
HAs no one noticed the many shades lighter make up on her face? terrible look!
