Another day, and we had another Sabyasachi sighting on Vidya, oops we mean Kajol. :P
While in New York, Kajol also met with the top Indian Diplomats as part of her campaign to promote hand-washing. For the meeting, it was a cotton kurta featuring embellished sleeves and palazzo pants.
We don’t have full-length pics which makes it hard to make out if the palazzo pants are or aren’t working on her but what I did know for sure… Not feeling the unevenly puffy hair one bit.

I know bollywood women love these brand names but I wish these women would use judgement on picking appropriate outfits. Looks like she is in cotton embroidered pajamas while the others are in suits.
yeah this is my opinion too! as much as i like sabyasachi, not all of his designs should be worn. she looks pretty ridiculous in this look.
Hair not properly done…plus fitting is not right too…this is some weird kinda outfit :|
Except for the Prabal Gurung outfit, the rest are disasters. She’s looking too made up & filmy. A sharp crisp business suit or something smart casual would have been amazing. I totally think being event appropriate is important.
This looks like she raided Muammar Gaddafi’s closet. All that’s needed is a tent in Central Park, and some female bodyguards.
And how the HECK does talking to Indian diplomats in other countries help an Indian child reach 5???? Gawd, these people and their stupid excuses for foreign jaunts just makes me FURIOUS.

That is one totally event inappropriate outfit she is wearing! Whatever happened to smart business wear or even business casuals. Look at the guys in a suit and her in something that looks like pyjamas????
I think Kajols personality “carries” these clothes (every outfit worn in the UN meeting) well. If i met her at work in these clothes, it would be fine but these clothes on someone else might be a bit much.

I’m all for going the Indian route, but this outfit Is a disaster – the wide pants, the easily-creased fabric. And so were her earlier appearances in the saris. How difficult is it to find an appropriate sari and wear it neatly?!!

I loved her other Sabs pieces and Prabal, this one just gives her no dimension. If the palazzo pants were subbed in with the same texture/color cigarette pants, maintain the monochromatic trend, with possibly nude pumps, her outfit would have fared much better. However this lady is all business. I’m sure if she should take the time to read these posts, the first thought in her head would be “why are people focused on what I’m wearing instead of what I’m campaigning for?”
These days all these celebrities are so caught up in who gets to wear the latest designer weae first. While this thought process may work in the little world they are living in, they end up looking ridiculous to the rest of the world.
If not a business suit, she could have worn a simple sari and still look like she meant business and at the same time look event-appropriate.
