One look at Jaya at the IIFA press conference and I already started getting bad memories of Cannes, but she did put some effort and looked quite nice at the premiere of “Sarkar Raj”…

I have to say something about this age group of women because my mother falls in this category. They are going through a lot – emotionally and in terms of dealing with hormones. Embracing old age comes to people gradually and it is tough to see yourself slowing down. One moment they are all happy within hours they will shut down.
Having said that I have no comments for Jaya. ;)
Aren’t Jaya B and Dimple K almost the same age ??

I think being married ages a woman immensely :P Dimple has been divorced for over 20 years!
The suit is very similar to what Ash wore recently in Dubai. Looks like they both were stitched from the same saree. Jaya got the simpler end while Ash got more of the material with the work. I could post the link but not sure if that is kosher.

i don’t think Jaya cares much for style or fashion.. she wears whatever she feels like…
let’s not forget Sharmila Tagore ,she is closer to Jaya in age n is da epitome of elegance (acc. to me)
She could look charming even without any makeup but with a pleasant smile..ofcourse that’s not an easy task!
By the way isn’t she thinking- “WHAT!! Amar Singh is not here..BHAGWAAAAAAAAAAAN Kuch karo!!”

but @anon, yeh at this age u kinda have to figure out who you are all over again, so maybe we should give ppl in that age some slack.
lets leave jaya alone and ler her do her politics…as she is politically involved too. dont care much of style…she is usually dressed like normal average people.
I see women that age look faboulous-Hema Malini,Kiron Kher,Dimple Kapadia,Rekha,Sharmila Tagore.All of them have great personal style, have the money and time to get the best jewellery and clothes that suits their style.Jaya has no excuse for looking so bad-The frumpy green mess at Cannes was bad enough this white disaster,washed out look is equally bad. Every member of the Bachan household makes such an effort with their looks(ok Aish gets it wrong a lot of times but her indian wear is almost faultless) Full points to her for making an effort for Sarkar Raj,she looks great.The sari suits her age and flatters her.
