It was a Sabyasachi sari for Deepika at the Police show on Saturday evening, one that she wore with a side-parted sleek bun, a winged eye and emerald and diamond studs. Now, the amoeba-pattern shimmery blouse probably isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but she sure looked elegant here.
I do wish though, we’d start seeing Ms. Padukone do some softer hairdos.

Yes, a change of hairstyle is long overdue… She looks lovely, nonetheless. BTW, what is designer about that sheer, plain black saree? I am missing some great design/designer asthetic here?

Something about the drape is off. I think it is tooo low and hence it doesn’t look feminine like how a sari is meant to be. She looks very masculine in this hair and sari . No shape or curves at all.

The saree drapes so low and it ruins the whole look. Otherwise black saree with emeralds look gorgeous
Hair and make up are wrong as usual and this sari.. althought gorgeous, doesnt seem suited for a police show! Much preffered Kangana and Alia’s formal looks
I like the look. It makes it almost look like a gown or something you can imagine seamlessly integrating at a hollywood event. I mean you can even imagine a celebrity like Gwyneth Paltrow in it. Like if Tom Ford designed a saree kind of way.
I like the ease with which Deepika carries a saree. She looks elegant and lovely. Deepika has an athletic frame and it’s not necessary for women to have curves. The beauty of a saree lies in the fact that it looks good on all types of body.
The one boob out draping she has been doing plus the low draping is a little tacky.?

The wannabe blouse is so not sabyasachi?! The organza type sari could have looked amazing with a different blouse, and an overhaul of the hair and makeup. Currently she looks like a aesthetically pleasing alien
I love this look, formal look yet she looks so effortless. She is stunning anyways and the hair is perfect too, complimenting the whole attire.
