Without the neck bow, we might have liked this dress on Deepal. With the tie, it just seems like she is waiting to be unwrapped!

Update: The more I look at the pics especially the waist, the more I think this may not be a Chanel. What do you think?

I agree, it’s a copy of Chanel. the waist def. is a major giveaway. So is the bow because it’s not as satin like or tied in the same way that original is. The neck on Deepal’s dress is less fringy/ruffled than the original. So fake!
This is not working for her at all. Bad neckline, and that timid stance. nope, nope, nope…
I don’t like it at all.. The dress doesn’t work, the neckline (or lack there of) doesn’t work, and those shoes are ugly!

u’d be surprised but Indian tailors do a fab job at replications! thats def a fake.. the shine and flow of the fabric speaks aswell!

It’s more likely to be a modified version than a fake. What you see on the runway is not always the final product in store.

I think it’s more plausible that the dress is an imitation, simply because the differences are simply because of changes in the level of craftsmanship. A modified version of a runway dress usually means a change in length, addition/lack of sleeves, or drastic change in a certain part of the outfit. Although I could see why the ruffles could be modified, in this case, it wouldn’t make sense to simply change the material at the banding on the waist.
It looks more like an imitation of the dress with less expensive materials.
It’s an obvious fake. The real thing is far more sheer, and the cinching at the waist is a dead giveaway. Also notice, the real one has bands of different widths at the base, the ruffles near the neck have been cropped and the black bands and bows on the real thing are shinier.
The crass part of me takes over as i start booing this.
