Ms. Khanna also features in a white Bibhu Mohapatra gown in the September edition of HELLO! By now, you should know what we’re going to ding this pic on. Yep, its the covering of the exquisite lace work with the hair.

Other than that, we’re so pumped to see Bibhu’s work now being featured in Indian magazines.

P.S. Catch Shobhaa De in Malini Ramani & Priya Sachdev-Chatwal in Alice+Olivia inside.

  1. OMAAAGAAAD, the gown is so pretty! And, so does Twinkle. Such a shame, the hair is covering the intricate design on the shoulder. Why oh, why, don’t have better shots to choose from?

  2. how dumb is the styling team at this magazine? I would purchase that dress for the exact detail that they decided to hide! maybe it was damaged :P
p.s. Priya needs to take a lesson from Shobha on how to look oh-so-graceful!

  3. Shobhaa De looks so photoshopped.
And on an aside: Why do stylists insist on shoots inside home stores? Looks so odd to see these socialites posed beside racks of plates and teapots! If they like the look of these shops, they should at least ensure that shelves full of merchandise aren’t on display!

    • Well its kind off a deal thing.. The editor or the one in charge of shoots would request a home furnishing (high end) to feature some of their pictures for free publicity..
So the store gets props and published in the magazine and also the magazine does not have to pay 20-30k for studio rental charges..
So to feature a store, you have to show some merchandise too.. Just like how the dresses and designers are featured too.

      • I get the idea, just don’t like the execution. Wish they’d shot/ cropped the photo of Shobhaa, for instance, to show just the elegant table setting- surely a better, more aspirational way to show off products, than have the racks themselves on display.

        • Yea I know.. But again it’s the creative director or the photographer’s view!
Photographers generally love adding ‘dept’ to the pictures..
