Padma’s recent appearance reminded us quite a bit of Dia from the Pond’s Event held last year. Both wore empire waist printed green maxis, pairing it with long necklaces and while Dia gave us a simple girl next door look with her outfit, Padma’s was a tad more risque.

Those two-hoop earrings are still quite a favorite of Padma’s from what we see. The model-cum-actress-cum-TV Host-cum-jewellery designer still continues to wear them, most recently while on the Late Show with David Letterman. The necklaces change, the hoops remain.

We like that Padma Lakshmi wears her own jewellery and she did it again at the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards and we thought she looked lovely in the pale pink J. Mendel gown. The hoop earrings seem to be her favorite because she has been spotted in them several times, of which the sheer look from the White House Correspondents dinner was our least favorite. No points for guessing why!
