Style’ist. Style’isn’t.
Not particularly a look we’d expect from a stylist!
The only thing we like about this look is the fuschia (bag) paired with all that red… as far as colors go. Thats about it!

I think she looks cute! she looks comfortable, and most importantly CONFIDENT so i think she pulls off the look well
okay, so this is a look that i call effortless. she could easily wear this and go vote. sonam kapoor’s voting outfit, not effortless.
that said, this outfit is not necessarily appropriate for the event she’s at in the photo.
I totally agree with PeachBellini..
Everytime we cannot expect anyone to be dressed in labels and with perfection…
She is totally looking comfortable and is owning this look…
nice…
I agree with peachbellini here… this is what is an effortless look… having said that she could have skipped the red shades and the red chappals.
I think its very chic!
Nope, not working for me although I like the top and her attitude.
I kinda dig it myself…maybe a pair of white linen pants instead of the chudi bottoms??
now that looks like comfortable wear! but not too syre about how the fuschia bag complements her look, but regardless, cuz i aint afashionista!
but yes as PeachBellini pointed out event appropriate…
I think the bag looks ridiculous with the outfit, the outfit looks effortless and cute, but the bag ruins everything for me, absolute mismatch.
lollll ok this is HILLARIOUS!! so u can wear this to go and vote but u can’t wear jeans and a T like Ash did??? im actually completely fed up with the comments here..
I think there’s too much red going on here, even for a look hastily put together. Casual and hastily put together are all fine and desirable even, but that does not imply you go match, match, match with every single thing you’re wearing. The kurta is cute, I would have skipped the shades, wore contrasting color chappals (maybe brown) and a white churidar/ linen pants.
LOL@k=. Different minds and different tastes, just type your heart out and make your point. LOL
i think the bag is a tod’s..
I think is match much- red kurta, red shades, red sandals, red necklace!!!! Isn’t that a bit too much of red??
Agree with Monika. She looks cute, bag looks nice. Red chappals and shades completely ruins it. She’s wearing that to Versace store launch..he he
I guess anything goes if you work with Vogue huh
I agree with k=, I don’t think “effortless” has ANYTHING at all with what you ACUTALLY wear(as long as you are generally aesthetically pleasing;) )…I think it, instead, has everything to do with how you carry yourself and your confidence;
example: Posh walks around in 5-6 inch heels like she wears them around the house= effortless
this is LITERALLY effortless, like she totally didn’t bother to comb her hair or iron her outfit :l AND it’s a match much
that’s a non from me
Totally agree with Pdaervo here, this look can be described as “comfortable” at best and effortless well that’s kinda obvious, but how much effort does it take in putting together a dress and tights (ref Sonam). Effortless doesn’t mean sloppy! Plus the lables people sport are in accordance with the money they have! Everybody has a sort of level, if you will, at which they shop, definitely everybody mixes it up, but still, mostly, buy at certain stores, and for Sonam that level happens to be the McQueen! Lucky her is all I can say :P
And ..um… actually I take back what I said about this look being effortless! I mean come on, the woman definitely scurried around to look for a totally matching pair of shades, flip-flops and necklace and then opted for a purple bag! No color sense whatsoever!
Aah…cotton ! Divinely comfortable !
I don’t see how this outfit is even remotely event-appropriate. I hate that she chose plastic as the medium for her accessories, and the color of the bag isn’t quite right. Her hair isn’t combed, and her kameez doesn’t fit well.
There’s no doubt that this outfit is probably super comfortable, but casual doesn’t necessarily mean sloppy. A more tailored salwar outfit, or even jeans and a t-shirt would look infinitely more put together.
well i don’t know how ‘effortless’ this is with all the matching slippers and shades and beads. But i do know it doesn’t take much effort to iron your kurta or comb your hair and look presentable.
I love that Anaita paired a fushcia bag with all that red, however I hate the outfit! The chappals looks so horrible…the salwaar, red glasses, beads…too much!
Im surprised to read some of the stuff here…This was the opening of a majot brand and Anaita arrived looking like she’d just rolled out of bed (NOT in a nice way). How is a badly crushed kurta-pyjama outfit appropriate under teh circumstances? Considering how well she’s sturnd out at all other times, this is definitely a slip of judgement.
ps: Would all the peopel who think this look is nice be as kind if someone else was wearing it? I think not! and it has nothing to do with her being a ble to carry it off!
uh…I feel like people misinterpreted my comment…?
I DON’T think that she pulled it off, at all
She is looking so pretty but so inappropriately dressed. This is an outfit that u can wear at home to lounge around on a Sunday but not to a store opening!!
Aah, the new mommy…looks fine, very inverted snobbism happening here….you know – go-the- exact – opposite – of -the world…Everyone knows she is a stylist, that said I like her look
@ HHC Fan – totally agree with you, it is a bad case of Match-Mutch.
She could’ve carried this outfit off pretty well had she ditched the beads totally, worn a neutral pair of sunglasses & exchanged those ridiculous chappals for something in either a nude or silver or white.
Not becoming of a stylist…she looks cute though, her face :) (not gay)
pdaervo, i am beginning to think the same thing. just to clarify, yes, i do approve of this outfit (with some minor changes like less red and more makeup), but for a different occassion, place, and time. there you go.
I like her look – she looks comfortable and very much at ease – i would love her style..
the fabric would make excellent pajamas. looks so comfy.
Not looking like a stylist is beyond anybodys bussiness but looking like this is particulary sad, when it looks like you ve tried hard, just being honest.
