  2. Man this women is gorgeous…I dont think most of the women would be able to pull off such a strong color…wow…if I could look only 10 % of what she is looking at her age…

  3. I am jealous! how does one have such bright glowing eyes at this age?

  4. She kind of looks like a trout in the two pics on the left and right, haha. Nevertheless, she’s a pretty woman, always have been. Its amazing how these old actresses have great figures NOW compared to their plump selves during their primes.

  5. beautiful, classy, traditional…LOVE IT!

@ nefertiti – I was thinking the same thing! She looks absolutely stunning for her age. One thing that helps me is SLEEP. I know that sounds stupid, but getting 8+ hours of sleep makes you look for refreshed.

  6. only She can carry the traditional South Indian saree look…none from the current crop can even match this elegant look.

  7. i love the saree… like some one said, its not really a strong colour. But she shouldnt have paired it with silver jewelry and clutch.

  8. has this woman discovered the fountain of youth?
    i love the kanjeevaram
    looks amazing
even that simple red bindi is awesome

  9. I think she is trying to match the clutch with her all diamond (in white gold) look. I think its different, most would go for yellow gold/gemstones jewelry with this color saree.

  10. OK now thats a saree my mum would kill for! lol thats the kind of stuff she likes, and its deffo a better investment than a manish malhotra, cuz this is a classic…!

    Nefertiti,
i find Surma, the one that cools the eyes really makes my eyes and the surrounding area fresh! but theres alot of bad companies that mix lead powder in their surma! stay away from those…i order mine from india, my grans been using it for years and she duzn’t look like a lady in her 80’s

  11. thanks CocoNUT. will try the sleep part for sure.

@ Fatima, how does one make sure the surma does not bleed out? I would love to use surma, but it always spreading out to create raccoon eyes on me.

  12. Nefertiti..
apply it before going to sleep, but if you want it during the day/evening a tip i recieved was apply an eyeliner and then apply it on top…almost like setting foundation with a powder at the end…

  13. Oh SLEEP for sure!!!! I’m not even 20, but overloading myself with school has taught me that sleep makes all the difference in the world PLUS it helps you loose weight :D I also use and eye cream at night and and eye gel during the day (my eyes got really dry after I started susing contacts)
ANYWAYS, yeah she looks aweseome, I think Sridevi has very good taste in general- and it manifests itself over and over

  14. I’m 30, and I don’t have racoon eyes. My secret? Water! lots and lots of it. And twice-a-week steam face bath. once every month a proper face massage. and 8 hours of sleep.

  15. I am 33, and my eyes look fine – monthly facial, twice a day cleanse/tone/moisturize routine, eye cream, regular exfoliation and pore cleansing masks in addition to facials… and sleep/water.

  16. also PnP.. is that the latest trend to combine white gold jewelry with yellow gold clothes and vice-versa. i’ve been noticing malaika and sridevi do it so far, maybe others…

  17. I do not like this white gold & gold clothes combination.
But Sridevi looks gorgeous. These traditional sarees are so difficult to carry off & she does it with aplomb!!
I am 31 & I feel that now my skin is much better than it was in the 20s. Its’ coz I have oily skin & now I do not have any pimples etc as I used to have earlier. I go for a face clean up every month & use Pond’s age deying eye cream.

  18. i know people who worked on the sets of Mr India who told me that everyday after the shoot, she had a full oil massage done- and you are probably right gave her very good sleep, hence those glowing peepers!! I love the way she has dressed, absolutely appropriate, I wish Ash had worn something like this at the Padmashree awards

  19. God, people should be charged for daring to look so gorgeous at this age!! She’s still hot, rather more so now than ever! And I love her in trad Indian outfits. The clutch is alright tho not going very well with the saree

  20. wow – she looks stunning. This trad. look suits her so much and Monicas right, few people can look trendy and traditional at the same time! Her jewelery looks more like platinum and diamonds rather than silver – probabley temple jewelery would have looked better on this though.

  21. Funnily, she looks good in the close-up than the long shots. I dont like the earstuds though – would have loved to see a ruby/gold creation there.

  22. wow. she looks gorgeous. like someone said she looks better now than she did in her prime.
gorgeous sari… but am not liking her choice of jewelry. IMO diamonds in white gold should only be worn with silver zari not kanjeevarams.

  23. its a nude snake clutch..I think it goes well..different texture so it makes it interesting. Although a better match would have been the Nancy Gonzalez iconic crocodile clutch in bold gold or for more of a pop something that was in the colour family of the sari’s border..
    love her!!!!!

  26. @K – darling, the fountain of youth is usually found under a surgeon’s knife – which is more easily available today than it was 20 years ago when they were in their heyday. simple!
