Unlike Katrina, Sonam who normally gives us a risky look every now and then, fell back to a basic one at the Femina Women Awards in a Toni Maticevski gown. Her pretty in pink look was finished out with a jewelled Leiber minaudiere and a chic updo.
This is a look she’s mastered by now and we, of course, can’t find any fault with it either. If we did have a minor gripe, it would be with the gown. The uneven lining was a just a tad bit distracting.

I like the color of the gown – but thats about it. Don’t dig the styling or make up. The earrings make it look dated. But my bigger problem is with the gown itself – that neckline is not flattering. Its giving her weird proportions at the bust.
I beg to differ. The earrings are making the oufit look very classy and not dated.
Diamond jewellery plays a timeless role with any outfit, its the hairstyle which is potraying the dated look.

Blah, the gown is too elaborate for this event. Plus the color of the gown and her lipstick are clashing.
Sometimes she should just dial it back a notch and go for casually elegant.

This voluminous silhouette, braided updo and a red lip has been done some many times before by Sonam. I’d love to see her in an outfit with an edge once in a while.
And, really? A glittery bow clutch to offset that gown? The sweetness is giving me a toothache.
What is one even supposed to carry in such a clutch?!! You can’t even fit an iPhone in it! only a lipstick and a rolled up tissue? baffling.
Sonam is in a serious rut. This look is as same ol same ol as Aishwarya’s anarkalis. Dear Sonam, there is a world of fashion beyond fit and flare girly fare.
Lip colour, earrings and the clutch are all tacky.
You’re right. I know she favors the sweet princessy look, but its been a while since we’ve seen her do something edgy and unexpected on the red carpet. So even though this is perfectly acceptable, I’m a little bored.
You have no problem with Red lips with pink gown, that terrible looking clutch and over the top dress – for the occasion. Because it is Sonam – your favorite! Imagine your catty comments if Ash dresses like that – pink and red?!
Pretty, sweet and she’s done this look a thousand times . But still she looks good.

This is now a uniformish look for her…& makeup is off again.

Too princessy. Isn’t she bored of doing this look? I sure am looking at her in this style. Also the shade of pink is not really working well for her.
1. Fit around the bust seems to be off.
2. Red lip color is too harsh for the mild color of the gown (resembles her toothpaste ad).
3. Uneven lining material does distract.
On the positive side, color of the gown is lovely on her and adding a glittering clutch to it does not look odd… Looks quite good…

The red lip is not working with that pink gown… And its not a flattering color(pink) on her… What a waste! I really like that gown

Sorry you had a “minor gripe” with the tailoring to this perfectly crafted Aussie designer dress? Really! What about the ashy foundation, the Joker from Batman lips, the tacky way she’s posing with the clutch ( I know its a Leiber, but so what!), that repeated braided hairstyle that she does, that’s all okay?? But you have the a problem with the craftsmanship of that dress. I’ll tell you what the gripe is: It’s Sonam. She doesn’t do justice to this fabulous dress and should not have worn it. There I’ve said it. Had someone else done this you would have ripped them to shreds. Seriously you start this item with “unlike Katrina, Sonam who normally gives us a risky look”, Why would you write that? That shows your lack of professionalism. She’s not even wearing an Anamika Khanna so why didn’t you critique her without any bias? No she doesn’t look hideous however its not as though she a constant “risk taker” as lauded by you. She repeats designers as she has done in the past with Elie Saab and most of her looks are “inspired” by either runway looks or styling from the print media but don’t call her a “risk taker” she is not unique nor has an individual sense of style. Kelly Osbourne; Sarah Jessica Parker; Rhianna these are women with unique style and can be labelled as “risk takers” NOT Sonam Kapoor. P.S. The lining of this dress is just fine #proudaussiexoxo

What is this obsession with trying to look like a Disney princess all the time? So juvenile!
And why a grown woman would want a clutch like that is beyond me…
