For people asking (rightly so) what some of us mean by age appropriate dressing and/or why do we have a problem with Amrita Arora’s choice of outfit at Shilpa Shetty’s baby shower (see post titled in Oasis), Id like to direct their attention to Anupama Verma. This is what we mean. it looks tacky, trying too hard…and other phrases come to mind.
I dont think dis dress wud be un-tacky on any1…young or not. Dis simply reflects bad taste. If wearing short hemlines is not for older age groups,then i wud detest them wearing skin-fits,off-shoulders,cleavage-poppers,sleevelesses…heck d list is endless! Only without a point.
You’re right and in fact, I will readily admit to being bit of a hypocrite as well because I’m the first one gushing when Sridevi’s pictures appear in mini skirts. I think the point being that Sridevi makes it look classy whereas the Arora sisters and Anupama above make certain outfits seem slightly tacky/trashy.
Age appropriate dressing clearly counts for something.
Anupama’s dress reminds me of this nonsense rhyme.. Catalina matalina, opsadiana, Wokkadiana oca, boka, loca was her name. She has two @&$@s in her chest, one pointed east and the other pointed west!

Monica fares the best here. Well, except the shoes. She should’ve gone for something different and not black. While anupama should burn hers, i really dont like the sorts sonal. She might as well just wrap a potato sack around.
