Comment image 35

Sonakshi graces the cover of L’Officiel’s Dec edition wearing an intricate purple Jatin Varma gown. In real life, the gown probably wouldn’t have worked but its perfect for the cover.

Catch more of Sonakshi from the shoot inside.

    • “Life as it really is”, so life as it really is is 10kg less? Just for the record this is not a jibe about her weight, I think Sona’s body type is normal, healthy and it suits her. But when a magazine photoshops half her body out, it’s not good for her, or other women.

    • Agreed..especially in the purple/violet dress. I think she would’ve still looked perfect with her healthy body type. She has gorgeoussss eyes, lips and flawless skin! Such a shame they had to photoshop like there’s no tomorrow. Also, her expressions are so varied and interesting! She brings so much more to the table than ahem Katrina.

  1. It’s funny that the magazine only provided both photoshopped and not-so-photoshopped images of Sonakshi. Otherwise she looks good if we think that she is the muse in any case.

  2. I seriously want to know the reaction of stars when they see themselves transformed so much. I will like to believe we have some Kate Winsltes here too who may for once object to their chiseled anorexic selves in print.
I refuse to comment on how she looks, as for me it is insulting an other wise beautiful goodlooking healthy girl.

  3. Ha ha ha. Of course it won’t work off the cover. Because we can’t photshop in real life. She is always like 1/3rd her size on magazine covers. Even her face they couln’dt retain. Tsk Tsk.

  4. She looks so nice and then the Photo shopping takes it away (takes away half of her as some folks have rightly pointed out) SO UNNECESSARY she’s have looked fab just looking as is in place of unnaturally cinching the waist at a mouse’s click. What is this obsession with photo shopping, aiyyyO Im so mad!

  5. Whats the point of photoshopping the pictures like hell ! when its known how she looks otherwise ! Im just sick of these covers.. why cant they just make these women look real.. they look great anyways..

  6. I am so tired of all the photoshopping. Anyway, Sonakshi has such an interesting face. It’s beautiful. She’s one of those actresses who looks good in desi and western clothes.

  7. I think half the people are just commenting for the sake of it. She looks far from skinny and close to her curvaceous self. There is no need to make a little tweaking sound like your world has come crashing down. This actually looks like the least photoshopped cover to me. In terms of size. Not talking about the lighting and brightness of pics.

    • I totally agree. Sonakshi is no Vidya Balan. All the pics that I see of her she looks pretty much the one featured. It’s unfair to her that people think that she has been drastically reduced in the pics

  8. when magazines can photoshop the skinny jessica alba to look skinnier, then Sonakshi getting photoshopped should not be shocking, its not because she has curves, its because the magazine ppl are mental.. period!! haha.. but honestly…fashion industry is such!
but just compare her waist width in all the pix.. it really varies a lot.. sigh!! wish being thin was that easy in real life too where one could just click a couple of buttons and lose inches off the waist..haha

  9. I was watching a video the other day where a case was cited wherein a mag photoshopped Kate Winslet to nearly half her size. Apparently Kate issued a press statement to say she does not look like that in real life and more importantly she has no wish to look like that either. Kudos!
