Two Much Of A Good Thing
At the store opening of Burberry in Delhi, we spotted designer Rina Dhaka in not one but two pieces from the Burberry Fall 2008 collection.
While we love each piece by itself we think both paired together makes for a rather dull monochromatic look. A bit of color never hurt, especially in Fall!

HATE the dress. like the bag. dunno how someone with Rina’s sensibilities went 4 such a match-much.
it looks like the bag is made of the same cloth.. weird!
the matching thing is not a good idea, but i do like the pieces separately..i thought that she was wearing a coat..is it a dress?
I like it! the dress fits her well.. and I kinda like that bag with it..
AGREED!
I LOVE Burberry- especially the textures, and she completely down plays all of it
oh, @priya – it’s a coat ;)
…isn’t it?
pdaervo,
You got it right. It is a coat.
hey pdaervo….
okay, so it’s a coat, but it is still not a good idea to match ur outerwear exactly with ur bag! they r merging into each other, ruining the effect! don’t u think? :)
love the bag the model’s carrying: that’s a larger version of the one on rina, right?
agreed of course :)
How can a designer wear these 2 pieces together. Individually they’re great but together….TOO MUCH.
I love the coat..It fits her perfectly .. the bag with it does not look bad either,,, however something else in a different texture/color would have been better…
i like it! i think we take the ‘contrast your colors’ concept too seriously. plus this bronze is gorge!
ps: i didnt know designers make so much money!!
love the bag…n the coat tooo …but both separate nt together..bt it looks like shes wearing it as a dress ..like it more on runwayy..the model looks more like she s wearing a coat
I like the coat and the bag as well but togther mmm no i dont think so. its a bit much
agree with priya. i think it looks a bit poser-ish.
Like the coat/ dress, but don’t like the shoulder strap on the bag dangling down like that- the runway pic shows it much shorter.
the coat looks nice on its own. here it looks wierd matched with a bag of the same material. delhi can get cold in the winter so i guess it makes sense she’s wearing a coat but it would have looked out of place in mumbai.
absolutely love the bag!
I love the styling on the model, but Rina makes it look very boring and sad.
so typical delhi…
throw on everything that screams “designer” whether it looks tacky all together or not….
It’s nice, a bit matchy perhaps, but not a match-much.
okies with the money of this jacket and bag we can feed 30 hangry children in India, don’t know why this come to my mind but it did
It always freaks me out a little when designers don’t get it right. Isn’t that part of the job description?? Like everyone said, individually they’re great. Together? Uhhh.
I think she looks sophisticated even tho its match much…she is pretty…
love love looove the coat!
@ prisha, re: typical delhi
sooooooooo true!!!!
what can I say?
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous!!! Both the bag and the coat…….and contrary to a few opinions, I prefer the way Rina looks in the coat. But I do agree with P&P – both things together are killing each other in their competition for attention. Too drab!! Shouldn’t designers know better than that?
