In Monisha Jaisingh
Food Critic Rashmi Uday Singh was spotted celebrating Gudi Padwa in a white top and gold pants, both by designer Monisha Jaisingh.
Now, this is a look that could have been quite perfect but failed because of two major reasons. Firstly, the length of Rashmi’s pants was all wrong. When you wear pants that are creased, you really want to make sure that the hem of the pants reach the floor (especially if you have curves), else the pants tend to taper and make you look more bottom-heavy. Secondly, the gold bag was not only a clear case of ‘Match-Much’ but also a case of ‘Too Much Bling’. A white hobo would have been a much better choice to offset all that gold.
Although I like Rashmi’s top, I love the Monikangana’s version much more. (The cuffs are looser on hers, in case you missed it.)

Ah. Pants with a crease. My mother is famous for wearing creased jeans that JUST hit the ankle and it drives me nuts!! You have to balance it out!
And I agree, Payal- Monikangana’s top is much less stiff/severe…though I think maybe the longer cuffs are a little more age-appropriate?
I agree…I love the model’s top
The Kurti would look best with minimal accessories coz the Gold work on the collar and sleeves is enough to make a statement
She ruined a nice top with those pants. And the bag! the bag!
