Just reading this interview excerpt of Deepika’s bridal trousseau wish-list has us wanting her taking the jump pronto so we can have a looksee. :) That maybe a while away, but here is Deepika wearing more Bridal couture in the latest issue of Verve. “However, Padukone isn’t going to settle just for the traditional saat pheras. And she isn’t particularly enthused about the Punjabisation of the Indian wedding. “Today, even a non-Punjabi wants to have a Punjabi wedding,” she says ruefully. She loves tradition and knows she will not stray far from her Mangalorean roots at her own wedding. But she also wants to have one ceremony in every religion, just so she can wear all the wonderful traditional outfits that go with each. “I want to wear an embroidered gharara for my nikaah with a stunning maang tikka in my hair, a flowing white wedding gown in a church and a rich lehnga for the sangeet. For the South Indian wedding, I will wear a traditional Kanjeevaram sari from Nalli with a gold belt on my waist and braid my hair with jasmine,” she says enthusiastically.
She has also thought through which designers she wants creating the wedding outfits. It’s important to her that each outfit is very different. “Tarun Tahiliani will make me a western gown style lehnga which will be my wedding outfit. I want Gudda (Rohit Bal) to create something in white, gold and silver for me because in my first year of modelling that was his Fashion Week collection and I remember thinking I wanted a wedding outfit like that. A dark maroon net sari by Sabyasachi (Mukherjee) with his Bengali aesthetic would also be lovely, as would a richly embroidered outfit by Anamika Khanna. My trousseau would be incomplete without a classic chiffon sari from Manish Malhotra because that’s what I grew up watching in his films,” she says, finally pausing to breathe. ”

The last pic is nice It has something peaceful…love that lehnga, too. The first one is also a great shot, the lighting is very well done. Her saree from the 2nd pic is awful..is that a shimmery pink tone? although I like the work on it but the color combination is not nice at all. Pink and red…urgh

She is such a class act! ..her outfits for her wedding-what a cute idea. The Anamika Khanna fares better than all the other outfits ..but Deepika looks gorgeous in each shot.

I don’t love the pics. And don’t understand the need to place LV bags all around a shoot.
But theres no denying Deepika is stunning – and she sounds like any young girl who’s dreaming of the perfect wedding. Its lovely that despite dressing up as a bride regularly for work, it hasn’t jaded her vision.
I like the first and last one. Though in the first one, i can hardly see the clothes much. But ya, hating the LV bags randomly placed. Its so used, unimaginitive and not creative. Whr r the creative directors of these shoots.
Nice thoughts on the various wedding…lol…A change from the usual crap we hear from other girls. I like her because she never puts on a fake accent when she speaks.

Deepika looks oh-so-beautiful in the rose colored sari in the second pic. Great styling and makeup. Has she gained weight? She could lose a few pounds I think, she looks big now.
