At the GQ Best Dressed soiree, the men mixed it up with some going formal, some semi and some giving no-hoots about any dress code. :P

Of them all, got a favorite?

P.S. Anil is in Hugo Boss with a Pink shirt and tie and Rajkumar in Paul Smith.

  1. Akshay Kumar is doing it right – sexy with just the right amount of quirk… he’s one hot dad. Those LVs are beautiful – love em

  3. Imran is so consistent with his dressing. I like Ranveer usually but he’s just venturing into the ‘trying too hard’ territory now.

    • We Indians hve very low threshold for weirdos and eccentrics. SO get ready to see many more comments like this in future. The guy is having fun, and there are other formal and ‘normal’ looks one can enjoy but we have to point that one guy out, who is differnt, make sure to shut him down first, so we can go back to commenting on how badly other normal people look.

      • Sigh, I am labeled conformist because I did not like a look? I thought this was a fun fashion blog and you had the right to either like or dislike a look. Don’t we have far bigger causes to fight for?

ps – I stand by what I said. If he really doesn’t care about dressing up, why would he even attend such an event?

    • Agree with Fff. Stifling people’s individualistic expressions is our common pass time. We are so quick and sure to decide who’s “authentic” and who’s not. Ranveer has been consistently defying norms in fashion, endorsements (first actor to endorse a condom brand in a country like India, what a shame), etc so this is not new. Judge a look as good or bad, but let’s not bring them down.

    • Because it is on purpose and he knows it!
He is wearing that with the attitude that it deserves, and comes off as looking eccentric with no f**** to give :D

  4. this ranveer guy is sort of playing a character 24/7. it is kind of fun to see him do this in a sea of gingerbread men (and women)
i dont really care about clothes (and i am very ashamed of being a regular of HHC for the last (f**king) 7 years!! (not criticizing P&P who seem like genuinely nice/ fun people; but just the general superfluous consumerism this kind of entertainment espouses ) ), but even as i don’t have any fashion f**ks to give, i do give a good ‘haha’ f**k to what this boy ranveer is trying to do.

PS: my comment should not be filtered for the use of ‘f**k’ given that publishing photos with the word in it are no longer considered offensive

  5. Imran and Akshay and of course my yummilicious Ranveer!! I have heard he is recuperating from a lot of physio and is in paain a lot. How cute and adorable !!

And I am loving the innovative ways he is covering up his bald pate! <3 And that cane with the top hat! JUST PERFFCT!

  6. If giving no hoots means what Ranveer is wearing then I feel really sorry about him… Ranveer and Sonam are on the opposite ends of the Fashion spectrum – where she gives too many hoots (sorry for the Indianised killing of the language) and fails and he gives none and fails… If you are trying too hard then you aren’t a rebel as it requires a certain level of nonchalance, which Ranveer lack here. Else you end up doing just that – trying too hard!! Akshay, on the other hand has pleased me by leaps and bounds. Has the Mrs finally interfered in his styling as his entire attire has Twinkle level of perfection!! The ever most dapper of the 2010s, Mr. Anil Kapoor is wearing such a mismatched tie with that delish suit that I have a strong urge to yank it off his neck. Rest of the boys look just fine!!

    • Finding comments on Ranveer’s “antics” and “perceived achievements” so (not) funny here.
Do people really think someone as popular as him would dress to achieve something?

Why can’t it just be about I hate that look? or love it..
What is the sadistic pleasure people get from judging a person they most likely know zilch about, based on something as superficial as dressing?
Maybe he woke up and decided he wanted to mock the event.. Or he ran out of suits :P

  8. Ranveer looks like a clown. Definitely in the wannabe lady gaga territory. I think I like akshays look the best despite the salt and pepper stubble.

  9. Men get away with so much when it comes to how they look, don’t they? If a female celebrity tried what Ranveer did, the world would be all about how she’s disrespecting the event/”she knew this was a part of her job when she signed up blah blah blah”. It just annoys me to see the stark difference between the effort woman have to put in vs the men.

    • Conclusion: women should also be allowed to dress they way want, correct?
Just wanted to make sure there’s no misplaced hate here.

  10. I appreciate Ranveer telling us literally that he has no f**** to give. We couldn’t possibly have realised that otherwise just by looking at what he turned up in, could we?
