At the ARY Awards that took place in Dubai this past weekend, Pakistani actor Mehwish Hayat was seen in a custom gown by Shehla Chatoor. The off-shoulder white gown featuring a floral print was paired with a red Charles & Keith clutch and a skinny belt to clearly define the waist.
She looked great!

Watch Mann Mayal, it’s currently airing on HumTV, as is Udari, which is only on its 3rd episode. Also check out Aunn Zara – you will love it. Sher E Zaat (starring Mahira Khan), Bunty I Love You (which is airing in India soon or has aired already), Coke Kahani, Sadqay Tumharay, Diyar e Dil, Dil e Muztar (also aired in India), Mera Naam Yousaf Hai, Maat (was repeated in India like 4 times!), Pyaray Afzal, Mirat-ul-Uroos. They all should be on Youtube. I’ll add more if I can remember lol!
Ooooh also, the baraat series. Starts with Azhar Ki Aayegi Barat and then Dolly Ki Aayegi Barat, etc. Last one is Annie Ki Aayegi Barat. Bushra Ansari is hilarious in it.

Go for Auun Zara. That was the very 1st Pakistani Drama that I had watched. A light-hearted comedy serial with a brilliant cast (I bet you will love ‘dadi’ in that soap!).
I personally really LOVE Adeel Hussain’s acting.. I think Fawad was good only in a couple of serials, but this guy Adeel is one hell of guy in acting!!
So yeah go for these:
1) Meri Jaan Hai Tu (Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu)
2) Kaisi Yeh Qayamat (Meri Zaat Zarra-e- Benishaan)
3) Dil-e-Nadaan (Dil-e-Muztar)
4) Jackson Heights (Goes by the same name)
5) Piya Re (Mora Piya)
6) Recently concluded ‘Mere Humdum Mere Dost’. It stars Sanam Jung and I dunno why I just love that woman!!!
7) Mere Qatil Mere Dildar (Stars Mehwish in it!)
I tell you something – I really can go on and on with my list. I have watched soo many but I wrote one of the best of the best here which came to my mind now. For example: This actor Aamina Sheikh is another brilliant actress. The female lead of Meri Jaan Hai Tu is another seasoned actress. Her name is Sarwat Gilaani and she is one of the most versatile actresses that i have seen (Watch her ‘Bezubaan, in Pakistani it was titled ‘Mere Dard ko Zuban Mile’).
Actually when all these serials are aired in India via Zindagi channel, they change the names. The names in bracket is actually the original name of these soaps (in Pakistan). But in India they are shown under different titles.. So far only Humsafar, ZGH, Jackson Heights and Aunn Zara retained their original names while being aired in India. (as far as I know). I assure you, you won’t be disappointed with the first 4 in the list that I have given. I definitely will suggest more as & when they come to my mind! More than the story, trust me, you will fall in love with the characters. :)
Forgot to say again, Adeel is my biggest crush!! <3 He is HOT and John Abraham of Pakistan. :D
Hey. I am from Pakistan and I would strongly recommend Daam. It stars Sanam Baloch, Adeel Hussain and Amina Sheikh. Also loving the addition of Pakistani stars on these pages. Now I have another reason to keep refreshing the page!

Another Pakistani award show – the Hum Awards took place last night. Actress Syra Shehroz wore a Shehla Chatoor from (what looked like) the same line. But while this one on Mehwash Hayat looks quite ordinary, Syra’s looked great & she styled it real well! Do feature her P&P.
But don’t bother with the Hocane sisters. They were terribly dressed at these awards too ;)
