  1. What an interesting sari! I’d love to see the back of it to see how the black transitions into the rich red. Gorgeous colour combinations…she’s looking fab!

  2. Even though i thought it was a sabya when i first looked at it, i dont think it is, because the saree has brasso work….i have never seen sabya use brasso. Either way…i love it!

  3. She looked great on screen! The pictures don’t even justify how elegant and radiant she looked :)

  4. P&P Vikas Swarup (Author of the book Q&A) was also at the Oscars last night, and was on stage. I think your photo above just clipped him out. (He’s behind Anil’s left shoulder)

    He was also wearing a nice bandhgala from what I could notice. How about you do one post on the Indian wear at the Oscars (Rasool, AR & Vikas) ?

  5. Look at DEV holding that little girl in his arms. How cute is that?? Oh ..and yes Loveleen looks gorgeous. So elegant and naturally beautiful. I only wish Freida didnt try to be over-stylish and look bad in that blue chamkila gown.

  6. Beautiful sari and gorgeous smile!

    And Dev and Rubina were the cutest! They were up on the stage to accept the best film award, the speech was going on and these two were happily yacking away in the back, Dev was twirling her around and what not, totally cute!

  7. ya just saw it has no pleats, so it must be a ghagra style saree. was a bit disappointed danny boy didnt mention her in his speech considering she almost directed the first half of the movie (the awesome hindi portions)

  8. @LuvAlways-
    It’s this jacket/bolero type thing that’s most likely a part of the blouse. (Or worn on top of a sleeveless blouse, maybe?)

    @fopa-
    She directed the scenes shot in Hindi with the kids, as well as the ones showing folks across watching the show. Casting director, otherwise.

  11. check her out on Feb ’09 cover of India Today Woman(available on their site alongside cosmo). she looks great in the pictures inside (pg 4&9) in kurtas/tunics with bold colors and prints. the cover look was somewhat staid and her smile looked forced. ……bottom line: she has a ‘lovely’ vibe to her.

  12. Ya Loveleen seems like a special woman….graceful and sophisticated. i’ve seen other pictures of her (times life of times of india, for instance where she’s in a black rohit bal churidar and a very classy blue pratap outfit also in bombay times). She seems to have a distinct style ..comfy but still fashionable persona ! Inspires me for sure :)
