The latest to have jumped onto the blingy sari bandwagon seems to have been Lara Dutta who chose a pale shimmery Manav Gangwani sari to wear to the IIFA 09 Awards.

I don’t think the blingy saree is as much a put-off as the “LOOK, I have breasts” pallu-draping. A saree draped properly and maybe a less blingy blouse might have worked wonders.

even though its blingy, i think its event appropriate and well accessoried. its not OTT blingy. she looks good!

looks too good. How does she glow so much all the time..amazing. Agree with everyone, I hatttte the one boob drape, somehow on lara it never looks trashy or cheap. In fact, she has never looked trashy in anything. Says a lot about her actually. she has an innate sense of class in her..no one in bollywood has that.

the hair actually complements the saree and the jewellery so drool worthy if i am not mistaken its emerald and emerald is my fav precious stone its so fresh and cute :)
