At a recent audio launch, Lakshmi was seen wearing a burgundy Masaba maxi featuring a printed cape. The hair do may feel a bit too edgy to some but I quite liked her here.
One of the better looks we’ve seen her in recent times.

Don’t care for the hair..but that color looks really good on her.
I have a feeling that if she had lived in another country where people can dress however they want without any ridicule, she might have dressed very differently. Far edgier, not conservative.

She doesn’t look like herself here… looks different.. but much younger and nicer as you said..
don’t like the colour but this maybe the best she’s ever looked. the hair gives the face some much-needed definition.
these robe like attires make women (esp heavy) seem too broad and age’y.. like a matriarch
I don’t think it ages her at all. She’s 40 and she looks much, much younger.
A 10/10 look for my part. Love the haircut, love the lipstick, love the dress and the cape, love the attitude. Definitely one of her best looks ever.
its being liked for being way better than her exhorbitant choices… thats it. liking the difference. also in my opinion 40 is not aged, if she is there.
Other than her hair, thats a very striking look. Love that color and the drama that the embroidered motif brings to the look.
She does look very striking. I half-expect her to yell out “Bend the knee” at any moment.

From whatever I see of her on HHC , she seems to be the Sonam Kapoor of fashion in the south.
Given that she always appears in tacky clothes coupled with tacky accessories, this is an improvement. She looks at least neat & tidy.
