Wedding Style
The wedding is done and here is your look at the various looks we saw on Kareena during the wedding festivities. Wish we had a full-length picture of her in the wedding lehenga.
Loved her in the pink outfit from the Delhi reception.
P.S. Apart from the wedding lehenga (worn originally by mom-in-law Sharmila and restored by Ritu Kumar), all other outfits were by Manish Malhotra.
Update: Added the full-length pic.

I think the wedding lehenga was done by ritu kumar.
I looooved all her looks …so understated and yet gorgeous !! Love her in the maroon ghagra …beauty !!!
She looks AMAZING in the maroon lehenga choli. So sophisticated and classy. I also love the pink saree.
But I hate the other 2 dresses: the pink one looks like old fasioned village outfit, the orange sharara is just atrocious and outdated.
the orange sharara is her mon-in-law’s. Its a family heirloom.
You wouldnt know heirloom if it poked you in the eye, Its a beautiful creation…. not for every hoi polloi taste
I loved her Delhi reception outfit..What I liked the most was her event appropriateness, she knew when to look all fun & youthful and when to look dignified. Wished you hadn’t crop Karishma & Riddhima :(
She looks beautiful n radiant I must say…my only quirk is the missing mehendi….she doesn’t look like a new dulhan…just good like she does on any regular event…
Exactly. she looks like she was going to attend someone else’s wedding and not her own.
true. perhaps is she shooting for something and it would take away from the continuity of her scenes?
second the shoot theory. Otherwise I see no reason for her to skp the mehendi considering she did adhere to tradition by donning mom in law’s lehenga.
SO gorgeous and regal. Love every single look. Especially Sharmila’s lehenga – drool!
Btw, she isn’t wearing any mehendi, is she?
Each one of Kareena’s outfits have been gorgeous. The jewelry has been stunning, tasteful, and an absolutely beautiful bride. Fantastic make-up. Manish Malhotra must get credit for the work on the ‘old world charm’ designs Kareena has chosen.
She looks beautiful..congrats to the couple.. but am wondering why she chose similar looking shades of pink on three different occasions when there are so many beautiful shades of orange, green, red, maroon are out there in the world!
+1 also, why has she not put henna. She is very pretty and looks great in whatever she has worn but i feel the outfits could have been more stunning.
the pink lehnga from the walima at Delhi is a Manish Malhotra??? shocking!!! its super gorgeous & subtle & classy & old world & all things NOT MM!!
The dress was NOT restord by Manish, it was restored by Ritu Kumar (or is it nitu kumar?) And i believe Sharmila also confirmed it.
There’s been some conflicting info but now Ritu Kumar is taking credit for it.
Ritu Kumar restored the dress and Manish malhotra did the final fitting and adjustments.
This was confirmed by Manish Malhotra.
Yups.. MM had thrown quite a fit about Ritu taking credit for his work with the wedding lehenga.. While Ritu had declined to comment on his allegations..
Has it been sorted then? The curious case of the restored lehenga! :D
Ultimately, it was probably restored by some severely underpaid and under appreciated artisan. So it goes in India.
You forgot to add the pic from the sangeet and register marriage
Already posted them before. :)
For someone who had access to the best fashion out there, I personally think she did okay (not bad but good could be better). I liked her pre-wedding dinner look and the maroon outfit at the Mumbai reception. The other looks from the wedding are ok-ok.
Sharmila’s lehenga looks very tacky on her. Somehow, though she looks pretty, she doesn’t look bridal…maybe it’s becoz I can’t see any mehendi on her hands!
Sorry not a fan of the two lehnga choli looks she sported including the yellow one not pictured here, but the jewellery looks great. Nice she wore the restored gharara. Wish she had gone with ritu instead of manish for all her outfits.
She looks sooo beautiful in all of dem..but didnt like the fact that she stuck to the same colour palette..apart from dem just looooooved her makeup in voth the receptions and the sangeet..so subtle but yet radiant and striking..
She looks good in all. Love the Walima dinner one and the Mumbai reception…
Wow just seeing the updated photo!!! They look like royality alright….as they are:)
In that Maroon lehenga, it looks as if her head has been superimposed on some one else’s body…
That apart, congrats to the couple..
Did you read your comment for a second before posting Your Wryness….
“Head looks squashed on someone else’s body…Congratulations”
Literally laughing my “head” off…
While she looked on all the occasions, my favorite look has to be the maroon lehanga- so dignified, so bridal. Loved it.
I have the same gripe as many other about the mehandi. I am a sucker for it myself and look for occassions to get my hands all colored up, I wish she hadn’t skipped it.
She looks lovely in all the pics… the restored lehenga looks a little out of place with the other chic outfits though…
i like all the outfits esp the mumbai reception lehenga. it has those same MM pompoms at the border which showed up earlier on karisma’s wedding outfit.
Why doesnt she have mehendi on her hands?
my guess is dabangg 2 song shoot in 2 days
Can’t they do washable marker mehndi? I mean come on they have everything the least they could do is think up something creative like that. Mehndi would have been the icing on this cake.
I dunno but I saw some mehndi on her hands when she waved in tht court marriage pic … so I am sure she got some as a sign since it is auspicious ….. I had a similar issue for my wedding which is why I could not get mehndi for 1 of the functions, I contemplated the tattoo mehndi but it looked extremely tacky and shiny… so I just chose not to wear mehndi for 1 function …. having said that I am not sure what Kareena’s reasoning is for not getting one…. I think its upto an individual and should not be judged
Love the Delhi reception dress the most! It is so elegant and regal!
She looks beautiful in all the outfits :) I don’t care about the no-mehendi but then I’m a south indian and we don’t have the custom anyway
South indians don’t have a ceremony for mehendi… But mehendi is very much part of a south indian wedding…
Exactly …why are so many women here griping about the Mehendi?
In my community we do not have the custom of Mehendi either… does that make our marriages any less Indian or our brides less Bridal?
Ridiculous comments
Agreed !
She doesn’t look comfortable in the picture with Saif at all. It’s almost like she is weighed down with the outfit (stuffiness) and it shows on her face. In the sari pic it looks effortless and she looks comfortable with herself.
Love the first picture and all choice of clothing she made. Congratualtions to the couple.
She looks gorgeous. And i dont mind the missing mehendi since it is not a compulsory tradition. It isint tradition all over india afterall. But it sure looks good on fair skinned ladies.
Love the Mumbai reception lehenga. Very elegant.
Loved the delhi reception outfit the most apart from the lime green orange dupatta she wore on her wedding day…she looked nice in almost all outfits…
Beautiful, Kareena really looks like a Princess, a begum. Guess she was born to rule! Well done Ritu Kumar!
I like Saif’s outfit; is elegant without being tacky – a great fit!!
the maroon outfit outshines all her other looks ! she looks gorgeous !
the heirloom dress althou very old fashioned…. she looks good and all covered up for a change…:P the green border was uncalled for ! and since its a heirloom theres no questioning it !
the pink gharara is lousy and absolutely tacky ! wish manish has done a better job for his best friend !
the no mehndi and being a punjabi a no choora look was a downer ! and def adds to the charms of a bride ! thats one of the main shingars !
WOW! she is breathtakingly stunning! this woman can wear rags and look ethereal. That said i do wish she had worn outfits that stood out a bit more, all brides have access to these kind of outfits (except the orange gharara). In the gharara she looked every bit the regal begum, and wow said is such a lucky man. but the other outfits were ok, and why no mehndi?
also everyone saying mehndi is not an indian tradition. U r right, it is a Muslim tradition, she married into muslim royalty, she wore the required outfit in the required manner etc., so why not the mendi? it would make the muslim bride look authentic.
I am a bit on the fence about the outfits. I think she looks great in pink as a colour, but I’m not wild about either of the pink outfits. I think MM could have done a better job, everything has a dated feel to it and she has an image of young and modern. Also I find that the maroon looks too stark/dark with the gold. That being said, congrats to the couple….she found her prince charming! If the organge lehenga was her mom’s, then it’s sweet that she wore outfits that were once worn by her mom and mom in law. :)
lets just be happy that she didn’t wear any Lulla at her wedding…the most awful bridal designer in india.
KK looked fab!
She should have worn that megawatt smile she wore with green and red salwar with all of these. Best wishes to the Nawab and Begum.
They got married. Let’s be happy for them. Clothes you can comment on but customs, traditions why so judgmental? It’s their wedding they can do whatever they want!
