That’s a baseless comment. Carol gracias, tinu verghese, lakshmi Menon, Archana akhilkumar, Natasha ramachandran and many more are beautiful Indian models who walk almost all the shows
Yes agree, India is the largest consumers and producers of fairness creams. The dark skinned Indian actors even promote the creams. The obsession to look white is seen almost in most appearances of actors where they white wash themselves. lol
A lot of white female models move to India to make a career. However I have not seen female models of any other race in Mumbai or Delhi (Other than Indian and white) so the option for designers is limited. And I must say there is always a healthy mix of Indian and white models for a show. Additionally I have witnessed these auditions as we were one of the sponsors for Fashion week and a selection is made on several aspects including their walk, attitude and confidence and the race does not even matter.
This was the worst collection of the couture week! The sheer ones specifically look cheap and dated. And they obvious inspiration from Elie Saab and Zuhair Murad.
The most hideous collection! Obviously inspired by Valentino and Elli Saab but not up to that level!Even Kangana can’t save that hideous dress. But beautiful colors
its a bad copy and a mix of all designers… just like he thought we wont understand… :/
why this collection… its sad that he put all the money and time to copy :(
Oh.My.Gawd!!! Kangana looks super stunning, gorgeous, resplendent !! One of the few Bollywood stars who can match the ramp attitude of a professional supermodel!! You go girl!!
Major arm envy after seeing the pics of Kangana
Question. We see designers use White female models all the time but why not models of other races? And why don’t we ever see non-Indian MALE models?
Fair skin and light eyes = Indians standard of beauty.

That is true for indian models but the non indian models are usually caucasian.
Not baseless….haven’t you heard about our obsession with fair skins. And a huge market for fairness creams.

+1. Why no non-Indian male models on the runway. If they can use Female models from other races why not Men? lol

+1 Do what you are good at. Don’t copy other international designers. It will flop and looks cheap.

Nayonika looks like the show stopper here. Gorg.
All the sheer gowns though…look so tacky.
Decent collection, very hollywoodish. Kangana looks fantastic.
