There were pictures of her a couple days ago picking up a dress at Oscar de la Renta in NYC, so something from them!
As for this Chanel number, my feelings are “eh”
I love the dress on the runway but I dont like it on Freida. I love anything by Chanel so im going to be biased ; Perhaps if her hair was up?!! The styling is pathetic and for crying out loud why those peep toes again!!!!!!!!!!!Shes ruined a fabulous Chanel because of those, come to think of it shes ruined alot of her dresses coz of those deadly peep toes.

The model wears the dress better. Freida looks like she’s wearing a cape.

Cape like thing ruins it on Freida. looks better on the model. Hope she does better for the awards. I am hoping she will wear a Naeem Khan design to something, and not just American/French designers. His last season was not that great, hope he has some stunners for 2009.

The dress is nice but somehow for Freida’s frame it does not hug her shoulders as well as on the model, which indeed makes her look like a little Batwoman hehehe
@today: that’s some trick that apparently makes legs look longer, or so I heard on the Oprah show.
i don’t like the dress. it may look good drawn as a sketch on paper but it doesn’t translate well to real life.
its looks better on the model…maybe its just the way she has it on her shoulders..she looks a bit awkward.
I think if her hair was tied up(like the model’s), the dress would have looked better. The cape is just weird.
I want to see her wear something else other than peep toed shoes!! I like the dress on her…actually she looks good in anythng.

she doesnt own the clothes she wears. they are mostly on loan from designer houses…just like magazine shoots :)
I agree with most of the comments here – the first dress not working on Frieda. Don’t have a beef with the peep toes – they work in most cases and I can’t blame Frieda for playing it safe but her arms are not toned and so she should have worn the dress like the model and probably in another fun color. Black is boring.
This is not a good look for Freida. She is now wearing clothes that suits a much taller person with better legs.
Plus she needs to do something about her hair. Her face does not look good in this picture. Freida was looking so fresh before and now she looks weird.
I just want to know how she is going to deal with going back to Levis and tees from around Bombay after wearing all these gorgeous clothes… After all, hoopla wont live for too much longer post the Oscars… then what? Subhash Ghai’s next? Clothes by Ashley Rebello?
This dress should be worn for CHA CHA dance or maybe salsa or maringa but not in a gathering
I think she looks great (minus the crossed feet pose!). Definitely feelin’ this one – I love classic little black dresses.
