Deepika and Ranveer made their first official red carpet appearance at the Star Screen Awards where Deepika was seen in a black Anamika Khanna and Ranveer in a brocade suit.
The top knot made for a welcome change but the overall look as a whole oddly didn’t blow me away. It just felt a bit formulaic. As for Ranveer, wish he’d skipped the necklace.

As much as I love them, I’m done with these constant Halloween costumes. Please change your stylists or get some fashion sense.

I agree, p&p went easy on her – this is such a forced and desperate attempt to look fashionable that it’s downright sad coming from a gorgeous woman like deepika. Laughable outfit and horrendous jewelry. It’s screaming for attention but makes no impact. The hair I do like relatively. This is coming from someone who doesn’t mind deepika’s boring looks as much because even if they don’t make her a fashion pioneer, they do the job. But this is just..

How and why did Deepika agree to wear this? Shaleena Nathani has been failing her time and again. But Deepika needs to be blamed too! The hideousness aside, these clothes don’t match her personality.
This is so true it clashes with her personality and her personality sense of style which makes it even worse. It’s like someone forced her to try and make a style statement.
They have crossed the border of ridiculousness….maybe is what they are rooting for
I am a loyal fan of Deepika right from her not so famous modeling days.. but I feel she is becoming a victim of her own fame. Her dressing these days doesn’t reflect her own self anymore, it just screams “I am ahead of this league, so I have to wear out-of-the-box outfits”

Oh goodness…I can’t believe I am saying this but can we please get her back on the Sabyas (repetitive styling included)?? I’ll take that over this monstrosity. It’s an award show not some BDSM/ Goth night. And I seriously doubt you need a stylist to dress up decently for an awards night.
They both look bad. Its way too much black – if you want to do goth go all the way! That jewelry she is sporting doesn’t go with the outfit at all. As for him, his pants are too tight.

At first glance I thought a couple wearing Halloween costume were passing by my street. And I was confused whether it’s Halloween time or Christmas time. Deepika is worst dressed person on this planet, no taste and dressing sense.

as much as we love them – im frightened they will start becoming one of those couples who are always coordinated – and not in a good way! he’s way too cool and she’s pretty (with a desperate need of a serious style overhaul) but they both need to keep their individuality and not play these “one pe one free” game on the red carpet

Ranveer is back to his usual self. His outfit is way too loud n tacky. Deepika’s makeup is bad, that doesn’t mean her clothes are any better! Deepika no doubt has big n beautiful eyes and smokey eye makeup looks great on such eyes but these days her eye make-up appears racoon-ish n not smokey.
A broomstick missing!! Deepika does not deserve this. I’m no fan but she is a goddess with that body and face and she keeps wearing terrible outfits and is let down by her stylist all the time. Its so sad to see her turn up like this.

You know what! I am digging this. My first reaction was to burst out laughing. It is like one of those ‘so bad its good’ movies, the more one looks at this train crash of a look, the more one spots or sees that is a source of laughter or ‘what were they thinking’. I look forward to see what they come up with next.

I want to preface this comment by stating that I don’t like this look on Deepika. But the comments here on HHC have me confused. Her wedding attire was traditional and I thought they looked absolutely fantastic. The comments ranged from her not experimenting much to Ranveer losing out on his individuality. She tries something out of the box and everyone is screaming that she needs to go back to Sabya. I think Shaleena is absolutely horrendous for Deepika but the criticism on this blog is almost unreasonable when targeted at few celebrities. They can’t seem to win ever.
You don’t have to be different for the sake of being different. Deepikas cookie cutter look has been criticised and even little hairstyle changes have been hailed here. However, dumping red for gothic black just can’t be appreciated because it isn’t red with stacks of bangles.
That is contrary to the comments on this site. There were dozens of comments on wearing too much beige and Sabya fatigue on the site. The comments were also extremely personal on how many receptions the two had and even this thread has a comment stating they are a joker couple, not power couple. Let’s not pretend that is constructive criticism or even remotely tied to fashion. It’s up to P&P on how they want to censor comments on their site but the venom is not tasteful.

Star Screen Awards?? Looks more like a dress up for a Halloween bash! For the first time I actually burst out laughing looking at the outfit. Together they are looking more clownish.

I know most people are (duly) criticising the outfits….but now looking beyond that, DP’s makeup is ghastly! There’s like 5 shades of messed-up going on up there!
deepika said in one of her interviews that she likes the fierce look and she is satisfied with shaleena’s work. deepika just wear anything in the name of fierceness without looking that the look is not doing anything to her and ranveer is ranveer :P
But let’s just say- she is not fierce as a person.. in all her interviews she comes across as this down to earth, mild muted personality.. not some edgy fiesty person.. so she needs to know thats where the mismatch lies.. and that is why the audience cant take her in these “curated” looks of hers that just dont seem natural to her persona.
