Ms. Padukone wore a yellow version of the Armaan by Sunaina Puri dress seen in a red version on Kareena in Vogue and at the HDIL Couture Week. I love the yellow version but wish Deepika had worn a simpler pair of sandals. You like?

But flats with that dress almost seems like a crime. She looks lovely, barring those shoes.
i like the dress but by keeping in ming how gorgeous she is, she should have worn a similar grey belt with a grey flat pumps.
I hate her hair, its too soapstar type, straight hair with volume will rock this look.

Sonam matches her clothes to her shoes much better than Deepika…I agree she wears flats but she doesn’t wear sandals all the time. Some good black patent ballet flats would have been better with this outfit.
And whatever happened to her cute short hair?
Sonam and Deepika both are very tall , and tend to tower over men all the time. Hence they prefer to wear flats.But one has to give credit to Sonam for wearing good flats.Deepika on the other hand prefers to stick to gool ol in teh fashion gladiator flats .Deepika take a cue from Sonam .
LOVE the color, hate the hair. MANGOgrl has nailed the hair bit. The footwear is less than optimal, but, I’ll take it. I don’t like the accessories period.
So the question becomes, can that dress salvage it all? The answer is yes. Gorgeous overall.
Aw.. I really wanna like this, but can’t bring mysef to it. The colour looks amazing on her skintone, but the sequins and the thin straps make it look cheap.. She would look amazing with big va va voom hair. I love her eyebrows though, they are perfect!!

What a refreshing, bright and gorgeous color!!! A big break from the usual blacks, beige, reds we see around here. She’s totally rocking the look but yeah, I’d definitely change those sandals.
she’s got such a delightful face and the dress looks great on her. But…I want to throw those sandals in the pacific. Its outdone its allowed appearances in front of the camera!
You should forgive sonam and deepika for wearing flats. At 5’8″ I feel like a giant even in 2-inch heels. And i live in the US where girls are usually taller.
AT 5′ 9″ these girls would def be feeling too tall in heels. So no surprise that they often choose flats!
So much yellow with black combo reminds of taxis. hehe. Other than the shoes, hair (hair’s yuck!) and bangles, she looks great.
I can’t remember her looking her best in a very long time.She always looks as if she has dressed below potential.She could have made this look ultra glamourous but instead with gladiators and the thick black belt reduced the overall impact.

eactly my thots too :). love the color of the dress but not the belt detail. i liked the red version on kareena better. kareena almost always looks confident and ups the glam quotient.

These sandals are something I would wear with a pair of shorts/ a casual cotton dress/ a playsuit… not a sequined dress for heaven’s sake !!!! for some reason, I think this dress spells the antithesis of class.. do not dig it AT ALL

I think the sandals are meant to tie into the belt, so they’re not unforgivable.

Backless and strapless stick on bras. They have silicon and the non-silicon ones too.
the casualness of the sandals does not gel with the formal dress at all! besides how tacky are her extension. She looks so much better in short hair.
take away the sequins and its perfect….i actually like the sandals teamed with this particular dress….n oh PnP ‘more simpler’…eh?:))

Awww, she looks so washed out and weak. Very off…lost too much weight in very little time. Her arms look REALLY bad. And the dress and shoes and accesories are as usual, boring and bakwaas.Very MEH look. And the hair makes it worse.

Deepika looks pretty confident in her movies. The promos of Kartik show her looking pretty hot. But when it comes to public appearances, she always looks uncomfortable in her skin. She needs to ooze a but if attitude in her dressing up and she can look awesome.
You know what I am thinking? That the thick black high-waisted belt on a backless dress is going to look VERY strange if you look at her from behind.
Anyway the yellow is so fab on her I am even willing to forgive those glads, but there is NO pardoning her hair. Why Deepika Why? You are SUCH a gorgeous, graceful, statesque woman! Now do justice to it!!
