Its hard to believe that you can ever make Sabyasachi look bad! But, Bipasha succeeded in that task, by wearing a bikini style blouse with her Sabysachi sari. I don’t even need a full length pic to decide what I think of Bipasha. Hate it!
I wish she had chosen a regular blouse that displayed more of Sabyasachi’s work than this tiny piece of velvet! Heck, I think I now love Deepika’s Manish Malhotra blouse even more now! ;)
P.S. Do not even get me started on the tacky glass bangles. A gorgeous sari like this deserves real gold jewellery!

Back in the years 2006-2007 we saw Bipasha do alot of skin show at events & it was very un-flattering. & now its back to the same, but this time its a bikini blouse & the fit is all wrong. Plus the sari is by Sabyasachi & I agree with all the others- what a waste of a gorgeous sari. & I also agree with those cheap glass bangles; doesnt coordinate with the sari. For her makeup, I would like to see her without heavy eye makeup. To add on to heavy eye makeup, we now have Kareena & Priyanka rocking it & there is going to be a time also for them to get rid of it.

with everything so great (including hair-makeup) with a real blouse she could have been the belle of the ball (or the awards in this case)
the saree looks gorgeous..its too good ..much better than aishwarya’s sabyasachi but she just ruined it with the horrid blouse and bangles..what a crime
and cheap glass bangles arent real jewellery? dont think she pulls it off here but I dont have a problem with glass bangles…and glass bangles are cheap (in price)!
i agree wid everyone above who complained of the one-boob syndrome. i find it distasteful and vulgar most of the times. and i think moon moon sen is to blame for inflicting this upon mankind. she was the 1st one 2 drape the pallu in a way that it fell BETWEEN her boobs so instead of just 1 exposed boob, we were privileged 2 c BOTH. the 1 boob version seems 2b a modification of that.
now for the above pic. bips looks pretty….the blouse does look scanty. and with a sari like that, u do need good jewelry – not much – a real or real-looking gold bangle or necklace/big earrings wudv sufficed.
on as aside, she should just accept that she is not 24 anymore and dress her age.

i like the saree and bangle, yeah could have done with one boob showing but apart from the blouse this is good. i like the glass bangles. doesnt matter if it is cheap or not goes totally with the look.
I’m over Bipasha…I loved her look for a while, especially when she was brave and cut her hair, but she’s fallen back into this over-sexy, over extensioned Bollywood caricature of a stylish person. The tacky velvet blouse and one boob draping really ruin the saree (I am wary of see thru sarees, but it is pretty none the less).
Btw, I quite like the glass bangles, I think its pretty and fun! Too much gold would have detracted from the delicate gold embroidery of the saree methinks.

Everyone’s style is their own. The saree looks so-so and the blouse looks terrible. Overall, I still don’t think you need gold bangles to carry off a look like you mentioned. Glass bangles are gorgeous too. As for wearing a Sabyasachi, not everyone thinks its an investment!!!

Sabyasachi saris have the mst amazing blouses usually in contrast with lots of mixed and matched embroidery techniques. I dnt know why these ladies have to insist on these sexed up blouses (including aish’s) with his saris. If you’re going traditional, just go all the way…why the insecurity. Otherwise wear a MM instead.
that shocking pink??? I mean… Was she high or something??? How in the world does it go with that saree? Agreed Pink and Black combo works but ANYONE can tell here its totally strange. I didnt even notice the lovely saree, the blouse kept me shocked! lol Just imagine how great a black plain blouse wouldve looked! tacky is the best description for the look also please do note while i LOVE Sabya’s creations as with all designers of any kind there will always be some designs that will be a bit off mark and it all depends on what garment you pick.. this one is bordering on the not so great Sabya sari!
Sabya must be cringing at this. Although this is not the best that Sabya has done, Rani would have rocked in this saree. I am tired of the bra being used as the blouse (that is the best description). Bips looks cheap.
This sari is the kind that can look extremely cheap and with the right person it can look amazing.. Bips managed to go the tacky route.. while I know pink and black can actually look good sometimes the sari itself is too busy to look good with other colour combos..
I actually feel sorry for her because I’m sure with all the ‘sexy’ she’s known for she prolly has to live up to the expectation all the time. We know that celebs get paid for public appearances and I can imagine random slimeballs hinting it in that she needs to look a certain way.. kinda sad to get labeled..

I wouldn’t have a problem with BOTH boobs exposed.
If they want to show off skin or the blouse, drape it another way. Hold the Pallu in your arm like some models do in Fashion photography with sarees. Someone mentioned MoonMoon Sen. Put the pallu in to the middle between the breasts, or with the pallu pleated and draped the Gujarati style.
I’ve seen the pleated Gujarti look and it looks much better and less vulgar than the one boob showing while the pallu falls off the shoulder.
There would be plenty of ways to show off the blouse without the one boob phenom. The one boob especially looks bad when the pallu is draped to fall at the shoulder.
With all this booby talk, now I really wanna see someone wear pasties with a sari! :P
