Another Longines collection launch saw Ms. Rai wearing another Gauri-Nainika gown. While she does look great, is it too much to ask to see something different instead of yet another voluminous gown.

she is so pretty..even at her age..in fact she does not seem to age at all..she looks the same as she did back in the day..how??? gaaaah and she looks really good here.

On the contrary I think she had aged and put on weight in the last two years. You will see a huge difference in her pic from 2004 and now. Yet she carries herself with grace and poise

OK, does she have the best skin ever or are plastic surgeons her closest friends? Anyway the gown not that impressive, it’s making her look bigger than she is, and not a fan of titscrepency! I really have no clue why Gauri and Nanika are so popular among the bollywood crowd, their clothes show little imagination and are just not even that pretty!

I read somewhere that Ash has undereye dark circles…….its the magic of makeup baby. Plus you don’t know how many “layers” of makeup she has on.

i quite like the gown.. and she looks gorgeous here… but the gown is either too tight in the underarm area or it is flab.. either way, it bothers me…
looks like both Aishwarya and Jaya were in the traditional Kerala Sari at the Bachchan Sandhya… both ladies gooked great… Nothing to beat the understated elegance of the kerala Sari!

In the first set of photos u can clearly see she’s oozing out of the dress…bulges n underarm back fat are soooo unflaterring. She may have a pretty face, but seriously needs to tone up her arms and saggy bits to wear this style…the dress is blah, agree with Karishma…Gauri and Nanika need a design overhaul. Ms. Rai should stick to sarees…they suit her best.

I find it ironic how most people go ga-ga over Sridevi’s, Rekha’s or Hema’s looks completely forgetting the fact that these women have had just about as much plastic surgery, if not more than Aishwarya but the plastic surgery card only comes out with Aishwarya :P
I’m not really fond of the dress and that’s not because it’s voluminous. The design in general is not appealing but Aishwarya looks great in it.
I agree with your comment EM. she looks great but the design is not appealing. She carries gowns beautifully so they could have given her a better gown like the gorgeous blue gown she wore at cannes. The only thing going for her is the fact that she has a stunning face. All celebs( Hollywood/bollywood) wear tons of make up since all of them have dark circles, zits and stress signs since they are human just like us.She could however loose that ridiculous pout and she is extremely conscious when it comes to her beauty, it takes away from her looks.

Ok, I’m going to be one of those rare commenters that is going to review the fashion and overall look rather than repetitively gush over how gorgeous Mrs Rai Bachchan is. Lol.
Though it’s not a bad gown, I think it’s far too repetitive of a similar puffy black gown she wore at a previous Longines event (if I’m not mistaken even that was a Gauri & Nainika). She should have surprised us more. The lipstick looks terrific on her.
Does anyone know if Ash has a stylist? surely for events such as Longines, Cannes etc?

P&P i think the voluminous gown does suit her.her perosna is little traditional i guess hence a little dramatic clothing suits her more than the other designer gown which look good on other actresses.
No,im not a fan,ash has rounded features(face eyes etc) I think she suits a slimmer shillouette!!
With all her lack of sartorial taste and knowledge, when given the right garments she carries them off with a rare elegance and confidence.

not an easy look to carry coz the garment can easily take over … she does carry the gown well… very few people can carry that snow white puffy disney princess variety of gown amongst the indian celebs – she’s one of them :)

I love the bodice of the gown but I don’t like the bottom part. I guess Longines just loves the ball gown look. She looks great.. I think she always looks great and I hate the comments on makeup, plastic surgery etc (about her supposed “layers” of makeup and all).. come on ppl! Of course everyone has zits (her forehead is a problem zone for her) and undereye circles and PORES lol.. but just because she looks good doesn’t mean its solely the magic of makeup…don’t discount God so easily!!! Its so annoying when people do that! I don’t look like Aishwarya Rai when I get my makeup professionally done! lol.
