In Payal Khandwala
For latest round of movie promotions, Aishwarya picked Payal Khandwala separates. Silver-toned accessories that included jewelry from Amrapali and Dior pumps completed the actor’s look. The choice of this outfit sure came as a surprise, not that we are complaining. The relatively simpler look makes for welcome change; Ms. Bachchan looked good.

It is a welcome change indeed. Aishwarya looks great!
+1 It’s a treat to my eyes to see daily a new post of Ash.
She seems to be at ease dressing up now.I will be surprised if this looks draws brit bracks. But then we are talking about Ash, possibly the most polarizing celebrity in India ever. :)
ARB, please never ever let go of Aastha Sharma!!
With the exception of the shoes…I like the look too.
Love the outfit! The shoes, not so much.
Love this outfit on her !! She is looking great !!
Only minor gripe- while the outfit itself is more on the casual side, why is she looking so fierce ? Practising for Cannes ?
It’s nice to look fierce.
This comment really is just nitpicking for the sake of it, isn’t it? :-)
Finally a relaxed non-blingy outfit which was a great choice. But she should have worn a pair of flat kolhapuris instead of the pumps. The finishing touches are disconnected with the outfit.
+1
+1 for Flat Kolhapuris.
Agree – the shoes don’t quite go. But the outfit itself is a welcome change.
Yes. Joothis would have been perfect. I’m still waiting for the day when ash goes completely earthy n rustic without any bling!
For once i like an appearance of hers!!
She’s looking lovely!
This is sure a different look for her, but these kind of looks have been done to death by Ms. Dhupia. But for once she looks good!
I think this is the first time she has done casual this good, in India. Lovely to see her in a modern Indian dress, and not just an anarkali and/or ajsk. Love the silver accents as well, just wish the necklace had been more ‘statement’.
lovely from top to bottom , minus the shoes..maybe juttis would have worked better…
Finally she has read all our comments… :) so nice to see her in Payal K… she is looking nice….
You are on the right track Aishu. I am so glad to see these awesome looks from you.
Love… love… love it! Totally unexpected… and in a very good way! Nice colour… digging the free-flowing, casual fit! Could have done better with the shoes, though!
i love the outfit on her…… only fault i find is the shoes ….either the pants should have been long enough to cover the heels or she should have worn silver flats instead but nevertheless she looks smashing. Lovely change.
Wow no bling!! I am amazed. She looks so simple and pretty. Very refreshing.
Finally my wish came true. How long I have been wanting for her to wear Payal Khandwala or Anavila Sari!
Love her cool relaxed look. She looks amazing!
love this side of ash
Not a fan of this look – it makes the hips look wide and the “caboose” stick out. Also don’t likehe wide pants with a shapeless top.
I thought the same, that this look actually makes her hips look wider.
+1
Specially the hair style , I’m gald she changed it & the makeup looks less & nice
She looks lovely. I wish the kurta(top) was a wee bit shorter and did not flare that much.
Please continue with this & stay away from the bling. Vibrant colors look good on her.
the hair should have been tied.
Definitely a surprising look … but calm those eyes down!
Awesome fashion accessories and outfit she wear. Looking gorgeous.
Such a welcome change from the voluminous anarkalis. This proves she can still look lovely without being draped in yards of heavy embroidered, zari fabrics and jewelry. Keep it up ARB.
Looks like she’s wearing a fat suit! Urgh! Neck up she is fab but the bottom looks like she is hiding people in there. I mean its summer, gosh, get rid of the large voluminous layered fabrics already.
+1
Also, super excited to see what she wore to the Cannes red carpet. Been refreshing this page all day!
I believe she walks on the 13th and 14th.
Well this is quite different for her and she looks nice without the regular sarees and voluminous anarkalis. But I scratch my head as to what is the ‘designer’ element in these kurtas. Such kurtas can be tailored very well by the neighbourhood darzi. I am sure the designer must have charged a hefty price for it.
+100
Completely agree. I always think Payal Khandwala is overrated. Any local darzi in India can make a better well tailored suit than this.
And in this case the material also looks ordinary. Sure it must be comfortable for the season but not anywhere close to what is usually ‘designer’ stuff.
True
What ! What ! What a makeover.. she’s finally been introduced to the world of simple classic fashion with outfits that are striking yet not blingy !!! God finally answered my prayers !! :)
