Couple Talk

Cover Man Abhishek and Aishwarya made a handsome couple at the GQ India Men Of The Years Awards held tonight in Mumbai.

Although AB Jr. looked a bit tired, his fabulous 3-piece suit more than made up for it. We rarely seen men wear those and wear it well. Aishwarya wore an icy-hued Alberta Ferretti chiffon gown which I loved on her. She kept the jewellery to a minimum, offsetting the tiny jewel detail on the neckline with a jewelled Leiber clutch.

P.S. Abhishek won Ultimate GQ Man Of The Year and Aishwarya, The Excellence Award.

  1. i just wish abhishek could keep a clean shaven look…he isnt john or hrithik to be able to carry off this rugged look…and aishwarya looks so pretty and prim…
to me abhishek is an eye sore in all the pictures.

    as a side note:
Does anybody know how to get such bouncy and wavy hair like Aishwarya’s? She used to have thin limp hair (if you see her older pictures) but now her hair looks gorgeous…any idea how to get that look?

    • I would say the straightner madness of the early naughties would have to be blamed for it. If you look at her photos from her modelling/Miss world days her hair looked quite fine.
for similar bounce try velcro rollers in the biggest size you can find.

    • I have seen Ash in person, her hair is wavy, but it is not thin, she has a lot of hair. One way of getting bouncy hair is to put them in rollers, then sit under a hair dryer for 30 to 45 minutes, and then blow dry each section. one cannot get this look with thin hair. putting in hair extensions is another route to thick hair.

    • i always wondered abyt that myself- how has she got a head full of hair now when in earlier films even in taal she had a wide parting are and had very fine hair

  2. In general they look like a great couple. But like what other have said, AB cant pull of this rugged unshaven look.
As usual not liking Ash’s hair colour.
And When i saw Anu C’s comment, i looked at the award categories. And indeed, the award categories are like meaningless.

    • apropos the awards, they only exist to convene the rich n the beautiful n to pat ’em on the back for being..err..well, rich n beautiful…tht’s reason enough!

  3. Whats with the pose Aish is working in the first photo??
Reminds me of all the matrimonial pics girls used to pose for in 80s & 90s.

She does look great as such

  4. ash looks great- fab fabric and cut for her body and fab makeupfro an evening event

abhi though looks like a teddy- i dunno why men with paunches choose to wear waistcoats so they can have their tummies sticking out- not good- compare to hrithik at IIFA and u see what i mean..not that was the look one has in a 3 piece

it doesnt make a diff whether he shaves or not to be honest- he wouldnt know stye if he fell over it and yeah what is ‘Ultimate Man’- ultimate in what exactly?

  5. They make a fine couple. This is probly one the rare times (for me) where both look elegant and gorgeous and regal!

On a side note, all these multiple award functions are just plain ridiculous! Its just a grand publicity ceremony….they gave an “award” with an ego-lifting title to almost all the top celebrities who attended!!

  6. The colour of Aishwarya’s gown is beautiful and the high waisted cut and the pleats moving outwards is just right considering she has barely a waist left. She has also started wearing her hair in the side parting which suits her and covers the widening gap in the centre of her crown after going middle parting for most of her 20’s.
