I like it that she tried something new. Just yesterday people were complaining about how she is being so ‘safe’ with black. But yes, I have to say she looked much better ithe last 2 days. Jaya B. looks very dignified here. I wish she had dressed something like this at Cannes.
That’s a hot color on her but she looks awkward and uncomfortable in it. Love the hair and makeup though.

Jaya looks comfortable and simple, Abhishek always looks the same. The colour of Ash’s dress is lovely but everything else does not suit her (cut of the dress, severe hairdo that emphasis her angular face).
There is no doubt that Aishwarya looks great despite her disasterous outfits…but that’s what the problem is! Imagine how perfect she would look if she had a proper stylist.
I think her problem is that she does not have a signature look. All impeccably dressed celebrities (from Coco Chanel to Audrey Hepburn) have a basic signature style, the outfits they wear enhance that quality.
Someone also mentioned that the lady looks good for her age. That is very true but there also other ladies of her age (and older) who still look beautiful. Tabu, Urmila, Sonali, Twinkle and Shilpa are examples of women who are rocking their 30s.
i have always been anti- ash for many reasons.. but here i think its evident why she has been called the most beautiful woman in the world! i am in total awe of the woman.. she looks incredible.. plz find out wht designer is her dress??
so how does this work? do celebs don’t try the gown on before they agree to wear it to a do? and if they do, and if ash had tried it on, did the designer tell her she looked ok? did she feel she looked ok?
Its a great color, and she’s looking ok, but anyone can see that the fit is just not right.

Its not just the fitting. It is such a prom-ish looking gown. Compare it to what Dia wore. Dia’s was so simple and elegant. Ash has an 80s hangover to her style.

i love the whole look. People can whine all they want to convince themselves otherwise but the truth is she is looking GREAT! specially compared to 99.9% of other so called Bollywood beauties that get the “wow” from the same people..
I actually liked her hair here which is better than the one in the black saaree. the hair in the black saree looked so pointed on top almost like a conical shape which disrupted the shape of her whole face including the head. (just look closely the black saree pics alreayd posted here and you’ll see the conical shape)
anyways the dress is nice but i agree it’s not fitting her well. we’ve already seen her in a red saree at a restaurant opening in london…same color. she should’ve chosen other colors. royal blue, deep purple or canary yellow, coffee or light brown etc. always the same black, red, beige, pink, pastels…tired!!

Aish..when i saw the red i was like, “thank god least ppl would be like, she didnt stick to a safe colour” BUT…the fit is terrible. she looks awesome, but man, that fit is way off!

The fit of the dress is crappy but the colour is amazing on her skin. Red satin is hard to pull off otherwise…damn those genes.
Ash is a stunner, no doubt. I love the color on her, she should wear bold colors. It is the way the dress fits that I do not like. Priyanka and Kareena look like they were poured into their dresses. Ash is quite conservative and probably wears a couple of sizes too large….The blue outfit that Deepika wore would suit Aishu to a T. It would pop out those baby blues of her….

I can totally excuse a star for bad choice of aesthetics, color, hair or makeup. But such a bad fit of dress is shocking. Don’t you look at your self in the mirror?? Doesnt anyone else in your family look at you before you step out?? I mean, we’re not even stars and dont walk the red carpet, but my mom or my sister would kill me if I had something so ill-fitted on me.
I love the color but the fitting is so wrong. BUT then it’s ASH…hardly ever manages to get it right. I also think Deepika looks stunning.
and BTW looks like some people are here just for the sake of ASH…to depend…to promote LOL :D

Friends, as a huge Ash fan I nonetheless feel that she cannot carry of off-shoulder gowns at all. There’s something about the dresses she wears, or her posture or her body shape…..*something* makes her look reptilian. She’s better when wearing gowns that have straps, but still I think there are Indian actresses who can carry of gowns way better than she can. She gives them a run for the money when it comes to saris though.
Aish luks quite uncomfortable….note d way shes lift her dress up so tht she can walk properly………but thed she hs a gorgeous face(I like her only when shes not moving)Ms. Jaya has KNOCKED her DOWN n OUT completely!!
