In MapxencaRS
TV actor Aashka, who is part of the International Emmys jury this year walked the red carpet in New York. Instead of going completely traditional, Aashka opted for a sari-inspired gown custom made for her by MapxencaRS sisters, Riddhi and Siddhi.
Even though am not a fan of the striped peplum part, she looked good.

Wow! love the sari inspired dress. This is the best take on it so far.
She needed better earrings to go with that dress and not liking the winged eyeliner, but overall it’s a good look.
It’s so pleasant to see someone represent India so well… She looks nice…
I think the peplum part is actually making the look effective !!..oue Jeevanta bai ji is actually looking good..though m not fan of this gown !!! (bottom white part is actually a downer)
She looks pretty! I love the saree-gown..
Wow awesome outfit
Cann you please post more tv celebs on this page!!! I am tired of seeing just main stream celebs and socialites that normal viewers really don’t know except from this site on here. She wore a dress from Harsh Harsh at the indian televison awards!!! Srishty Rode who plays Sarita in punar vivah season 2 just wore a Arpita Mehta saree and the same exact saree Madhuri Dixit wore on Jhalak!! please post them!! its a personal request!!!
Will try. :) Can you also let us know which event was Shristi at?
She looks very elegant. Thank god she didn’t go overboard like other Indian celebs do on an international platform.
WOW… LOVED THE DESIGN. N SHE LOOKED GORGEOUS
what ! how? when ? im just too surprised to know she is on the jury. But besides that, i think she looks nice ! Much much better than other A listers on the red carpet, at Cannes especially.
First time an Indian designer got it right on International red carpet. looks elegant.
Really nice design. She looks great. I like the fact she went simple on jewellery and make up.
It looks like it was inspired by a Sri Lankan style Sari, i.e. an Osari. HH posted J Fernandez wearing one a while back.
+1
Ya, the peplum bit does remind me of the Kandyan style saree. she wears it well.
I really love this look on Aashka and its nice to see a fusion design work so well on the red carpet, more often than not, it turns out to be a disaster, because its always nearly too fussy, but the beauty in Indian wear lies in its simple elegance and thats what this gown is, its elegant, because it takes the simple shape and draping of a saree and merges it so seamlessly with a western peplum design. I actually would have looked to have seen a lower hair style on Aaskha, i think it would have give a more effortless vibe to a quite sharp look and maybe a pair of large black crystal stud earrings as opposed to the dangling type she paired it with.
she has dressed well for the event where as many of the bollywood actresses do it wrong.
pretty dress and the lady carries it off well!
Love the look…One of the best looks of the year..so elegant..a classic combination of indian and western.
Weird and fugly. Plain weird.
Her waist looks like a mushroom. They could have used a different pattern…
A practical question- does the train drag around behind her and get dirty on the floor?
She is a really pretty woman and wow she looks good here.
Very nicely done. Mainstream celebs with major designers don’t seem to get Indo-Western right at international events, so this is a major plus.
Love the outfit – definitely nice for the red carpet!! And she looks gorgeous.
Awesome garment ! cant believe Indian designer duo have designed it. looks truly International.
Amazing design. Kudos to designers !
