In Twos

While at the Couture Week, spotted the editrix taking in the shows in an Anupamaa sari one day, and a Surendri sheath on the other. We’ve come to look forward to Ms. Bhalla’s appearances… We may not always be a 100% on board with some of her sartorial choices but mad props to her for never failing to keep things fresh and constantly changing it up.

P.S: You may recall seeing the Anupamaa sari on Avantika here.

In Sabyasachi

Taking in Sabyasachi’s couture showing were Nandini and Sabina, both sporting the designer of course.

Not that we have anything against the saris but (the unfortunate camera-flash effect aside), it’s quite refreshing to have a non-sari Sabya sighting. Both looked good; we like.

Sari Style

Nandini celebrated her birthday with a Mahabharata themed bash on Saturday in Delhi to which she wore a Shantanu-Nikhil. Given the theme, her and Kalyani’s (in Komal Sood) modern take on the sari seemed quite appropo and we have to admit they both wear it well. Just wish Nandini had picked a more subtle pair of sandals. But, that’s just me!

Sari Style

Cosmo editrix gave us two sari looks at the recent WIFW, one a S&N Drape and the other, a very recognizable pac-man print Surendri.

Of the two looks, it was easy to pick the latter as the better one. But, if you had to compare her perfectly pleated sari with Sujata’s casual draped one (also a Surendri), which would you pick?

In Ashish Soni

Cosmo editrix Nandini took in the shows on day one of WIFW wearing a bright orange top with a peplum skirt from Ashish Soni’s Spring collection. I’ll admit that while I love the runway look, it probably would’ve been too overwhelming in real. Ms. Bhalla’s choice to go for a solid color worked well for her. We like.
