Wish List Wednesday!

You didn’t think we had forgotten, did you? This week, the beautiful Ms. Dixit is up.

Though it’s easy to miss, Madhuri has given us quite the range on these pages. It’s just that the misses have out-numbered the hits often times earning her a one word critique- dated. We believe majority of the blame lies with the hair, when the clothes are okay that is.

This was a fun exercise, indulgent at best. While some of these looks are a no-brainer for her, for others, you may have to leave your imagination-hat on for just a second longer. With the right hair, make-up and accessories, there’s not one look below that we can’t even envision on her. Some slightly modified of course.

Wearing Her Own

Fashion Week means a hall pass for anyone who wants to experiment with personal style, however outlandish it may be. And we love that!

While taking in one of the shows during FW, designer Anupama Dayal paired a sari over a tank and white shorts. Funky but looks très uncomfortable.

At the post WLIFW party, it was a hot pink maxi for her that she paired with a neon yellow necklace. Now that one, we love!

Anupamaa: LFW Summer/Resort 2011

Resort is Anupama Dayal’s forte and this collection with its myriad block prints, multi-colors, easy silhouettes and flow-ey separates showed just that… The designer stuck to her easy-breezy colorful aesthetic which has worked in the past. Kaftans, maxis, tunics and cover-ups in fabrics like georgette, chiffon and chanderi made up the collection.
