On a recent Awards night red carpet, Taapsee was photographed in a Theia Couture dress. Side-swept hair and understated make-up finished out the actor’s look. She looked nice, there’s no taking that away. But given these were music awards, it would’ve been nice to see her take some risks, try something new/different…

She’a done quite a lot of ott blingy and quirky edgy stuff lately. So I don’t mind her completely clean it up. That gold and silver dress fits her like a glove. The makeup is perfectly natural and dewy. Hair is voluminous. Even though it’s a plain simple look without a pop of colour or statement accessory she still grabs eyeballs.

She looks nice. Although these are music awards where edgy fashion is the norm, given that she is neither a musician nor a singer/producer, I’m glad she kept it simple.
Edgy fashion is more palatable if the person wearing it is edgy in their work too.
