In Sabyasachi

Love the sari but coupled with the blouse, Ms. Ratnam looks completely weighed down in all that print… The blouse is just so overwhelming with it (the sari).

  1. As much as I adore Sabyasachi, it just looks wrong on Suhasini Hasan. Much, much too busy. Perhaps a simpler print would have worked better on her frame.

  2. that huge gold design at the sleeve really cheapens the look of the blouse and is too much for an already busy outfit. it looks like something out of the 80s mahabharat tv serial – that gold thing all the men used to strap on their biceps *shudder*

  3. am so happy to see this lady in the blog..i like her sense of style..and i think she looks a lot better than some other ppl wld in that blouse…

  4. great saree, but you’re right it does seem a bit busy, maybe itsthe way its worn? Actually I’m quite liking these 3/4 sleeves, seems quite refreshing after all these sleeveless and cap sleeves everyone seems to like these days – I may have to try it myself!

  5. The 3/4 sleeves actually look very elegant…they remind me of the tango which combines an elegant reserve with exuberant passion……Imagine them on Catherine Zeta Jones while she dances the tango with Banderas…they would look nothing short of fabulous

  6. As odd as the blouse does look, I’ve hardly any complaints about it. Though i do wish she had done up her hair more nicely. traditional plait with mogra flowers would have done wonders!

p:s: Thanks HHC, So glad to see her featured here, & im glad you guys are doing all these posts on south indian celebs as well (anushka, allu arjun etc etc :D

  7. She is a poor dresser. Catch a glimpse of her pictures from the Film Festival event in indiaglitz

With the exposure she has I would expect her to dress better!

  8. Sabyasachi needs to stop making those 3/4th sleeves.. Looks like people are pulling out their 1988-90 eaters from cupboards… So out of fashion….
