It was a Vionnet dress for Sonam while at the recent Awards event. Wearing her hair down, the actor finished out the look with a matching white minaudière and jewelry from Nirav Modi. First things first, love the dress on her. Paired with the jewelry, it has this art deco decadence about it that I dig. But the hair and make-up sure put a dampener on things. Didn’t work with the gown at all and instead of putting a Grecian spin on it, ended up just looking matronly. Bummer!

This would have been a 10/10 if not for the silly cape and the chalky make-up.

So how would use her hands under this mosquito net?

Looks meh thanks to the styling…but how does one eat or recieve awards with such capes ?
She isnt expecting to do either – eat or receive awards!
Did she seriously walk around the entire evening with her hands inside that net? She can’t even shake hands, leave alone receive or give an award.
Just for the sake of making a point, she is now bordering on ridiculous.
How does one shake hands in this dress?
I don’t like the dress at all. It makes her look completely flat-chested. The design, especially on the upper half, looks bad. The net is equally aweful. I actually don’t mind the hair and makeup.

Did it have to have the translucent cape? Sigh. Sometimes Sonam reminds me of Mrs. Addams. And not in a good way.
Not a good colour for Sonam. Very dull and horrible design. But her face still looks really pretty.
Those sleeves look really bad somehow. And even the neckline! Jewellery is even more hideous.

This cape continues the *I’m a princess who doesn’t need to lift a finger, I have people to tend to my smallest needs* styling that Sonam has been favoring recently. A similar statement is made by jackets/overcoats worn just over the shoulders(with arms not put inside sleeves). It is a turn-off. And it is surprising given that she has accomplished a lot at a young age – carries films on her shoulders, boasts that she is financially independent, etc.
I think this would have looked fab without the cape!
Yeesh…why the stupid cape? The dress without the cape would have been perfect. How did she use her hands from underneath that cape? silly silly!
