Sonakshi On Marie Claire: (Un)Covered

Comment image 17

A gorgeous Sonakshi covers Marie Claire’s Body Issue. She is wearing an Alexander Wang dress and a Valliyan by Nitya Arora necklace on the cover. It was however her picture in the Surendri dress was an instant favorite of ours; she looks all kinds of fabulous in it.

Do have one itty-bitty question though… For a magazine issue that’s all about The Body, why choose to put your cover girl in the safest (and predictable) option- An LBD? It would’ve a made a far more persuasive point had the magazine embraced the curves on its cover as it seemingly does in its cover-story photo feature, no? Just wondering out aloud here… What do you think?

Catch behind the scenes video here.

  1. She looks stunning – this is one photo shoot where Mr.Photoshop was allowed to take a break! (or so I sincerely hope) All the dresses look so nice on her and her skin tone is amazing. I liked the green the best, how beautiful is the color on her!

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper like all 4. Now can someone share her skin regime!

  2. I see no LBD..but the Nishka Lulla and Jelin George Skirt is absolutely purrfect. The next season is the last for Mad Men but maybe Mathew Weiner could find a part for her. She would be so appropriate !

    • I love this comment. Before this shoot and especially this comment could never think of it. But yes, definitely fits in as a toned down Joan easily :)

  3. she looks great …. thanks to no or minimum photoshop – she looks real ………. I agree with you on the point – they could have dared to give her bold look – when the subject was specifically about how she is comfy with her curves….

    • You mean anyone who is genetically skinny is unreal? Time the world stopped using terms like ‘real’, ’embrace curves’ etc and realize that women come in all shapes and sizes and that not everyone is obsessed with their weight – some are naturally skinny
