In Twos
A press meet followed by an album launch recently meant we had two back-to-back sightings of Ms. Mohapatra sporting looks that were quite different from each other. For the press meet, the songstress picked a Nachiket Barve dress, one that she paired with jewelry from Nimaya, strappy sandals and a strong red lip. Later, she changed into an Amit Aggarwal dress and paired that with more gold-tone jewelry (which included a ring and necklace worn as belt, both by Eina Ahluwalia), nude pumps and a sparkly clutch.
Of the two, the look in Barve was an immediate favorite of mine; so striking. The heels were bit of a downer though and I do wish she had chosen something less fussy given how dramatic rest of the styling was.

Wow, she looks fierce and stunning! Both outfits look custom made for her persona.
I adore the black Nachiket look! She looks fantastic. The curtain like Amit I don’t feel a bit!
Love how she dresses according to her body type and persona. Always keeps things interesting.
Her forced fierce posing and poses. LOL!
She doesn’t look posey at all to me, she’s one if those few people who looks super comfy in skin and sartorial choices which are fairly unique – but eve if she were posing I don’t see anything wrong. Being a performer and doing a photo shoot totally calls for posing!
Ok. Ms.PR. :P
Honestly, no though I had a good laugh :))
I’m no PR Avani…with 2 kids and a full time job, HHC is pretty much a small slice of my time pass, leave alone PR-ing for someone else, I barely find the time to maintain PR for my self :)) I perform on stage occasionally where I live locally and am sort of clued to why one needs fierce and sometimes unusual clothes, which sometimes comes off giving a posey vibe, which is the source of my comment!
Peace :)..
Hehe. :D I just find her looks & posing very forced. And I do have friends who perform at local bars -race no bar Whites, Indians, Asians and middles eastern too. I personally feel there is any set rule or a need to be fierce or wear unusual clothes to make a statement because you sing- dance-whatever unless it is their actual style. The way she has THAT face makes me laugh every single time. Peace. :)
There is not set rule*
This woman always grabs my attention, in a good way most of the time.
