Off The Runway
That which was an interesting twist on the sari (as seen on the runway), fell as flat as it possibly could on Ms. Saran. The sari had quite the potential of looking edgy in somewhat more capable hands; Shriya just didn’t cut it.
We loved the shoulder detail (as seen on the runway) but the way Ms Saran was styled, it killed the effect for us a bit.

she always has this same lost princess expression that sucks
on shriya – the shoulder detail is off making it look v.tacky. she has no style quotient really.
could have been an edgy toga+sari (tori?) outfit. ‘could have been’ is the key phrase.
This is such an ugly dress to begin with. The fabric looks so cheap!
agree with you totally. The detail was nicer on the shoulder, but looks like she either got it wrong or there was a tendency to expose that midriff a bit more, hence the shift. In any case sometimes covering up even in sheer fabric might look better than skin.
it’s all very ulta-pulta – it looks like everything was brought down and to the right – e.g. the shoulder detail is no longer on the shoulder and the draping/tiers are not sitting in the correct place…
why could’nt she figure out that it would look better if the drape was just 2 inches more to her left
This sari was overdone to begin with – too much going on and then she had to go and sex it up – horrible look.
I like the shoulder detail.. it’s interesting!! But I agree Shriya’s sari doesn’t look that good at all…
this is a SARI??
REALLY??
*scratches head*
Like it, with an edgier hairstyle or makeup Shriya could have worked it, also no midriff barring please.
oh yeah. its available in a yellow too. this was actually the worst of the lot. some of the other anand kabra stuff was better that day. although you should have got a picture of him. :D
i wish i could have sent you one!
