Yes, the denims might be “cool” for most of you but, Payal and I still stick to our (intense) dislike of distressed denims. :p

I like distressed denim but then again I a 27 perhaps this jean does nothing for this event other than that she’s perfect
well to be honest I don’t like the jeans either. it doesn’t look good on her although she’s got the best and perfect figure ever but sorry those jeans look teenage-ish and stupid.
I like distressed denims but I almost feel like they’re a little too young for her. I usually dislike when people bring age into fashion choices because I feel like as long as you can pull it off you can wear whatever you want (Amitabh Bachchan in hoodies for example, or Malaika in miniskirts) but honestly distressed denim’s should be left for those under 25ish..it’s not a body thing because obviously her body is better than most 25 and under, it just doesn’t look good.
You are right, bringing age into fashion doesn’t make sense…but exceptions always have to be made. Especially when the case is about distressed denims. lol
However, I may be biased…Sallu in distressed denims never gets an “ewwww” from me :P
She will look good even in a potato sack with that bod. I like the jacket-tee combo. At least she is not copying straight of a catalogue/magazine and she changes it up most times.
i wear them on school runs with flip flops and they sure dont bother me

Wait, let us clarify. The denims WERE cool…about 20 years ago. Now it looks labored and silly. Just as disco died around 1980 after the premier of Xanadu yet hung on for about a decade and a half later in the Bollyworld so do distressed denims seem to still be signifiers of “cool” in that realm.
These pants are utterly pointless since there is no chance on earth that they are the only jeans Shilpa owns and have therefore come by their “distress” honestly as indicators of rugged, honest hard wear.
At least the wretched things are not “acid washed”…oh god…ARE THEY? Let’s go to the DISCO!
Nobody in her age range, or financial status would wear these gawd-awful things in the West.

ripped jeans:
are supposed to get ripped/torn with time. on its own. like sleeping shirts get soft and comfy with time. seriously i dont understand people going out and buying jeans that are already ripped. this is why i dont understand grown ups.
These jeans are good for a beach run perhaps? Here, they just don’t go with the tee-jacket, however perfect her body may be
lol man if it were anyone else on the street i would burst out laughing at those jeans. Everything waist up is kool though. Love those shades :D
