Desi Girl!
From now on till the end of the year, it’s one big festive season! Love it! :)
Shilpa was photographed on two different occasions recently… But, which appearance of hers is the one to get your vote? The one in the red Manish Malhotra or the one in the green shimmery Neeta Lulla sari?

I love the sari look mainly for the traditional jewelry, hair and makeup. As for the clothes, they are both ok.
i vote for the green look coz she has her hair back and i love the way she has accessorized.
How can you choose when she looks equally gorgeous in both! I like the indian-ness of both her looks.
I agree!!!Shes beautiful
The green shimmery sari wins hands down.Plus love her hair in a bun like that.
I love her in both but the green sari look is just awesome. Hair tied back looks so nice on her !! love love love !
No one rocks a sari like she does with that figure of hers.
Totally Agree!!!!!
LOVELYYY!!
Love both looks. but if i had to choose it would be the green one. Shilpa’s assets are her fab bod and her happy smile. Never seen any actress look so happy except sonam of cos.
The green sari all the way–I love the soft delicate colour and she looks lovely with the jasmines and her hair pulled back. Lovely!

i love the pastel shade of the green saree .she does look great in both though .
Green sari!
Can unmarried girls wear those jasmine flowers in hair? Thanks.x
Ofcourse they can ! Even female toddlers wear them.
Really! Yay! I really want to wear but didn’t want to step on the sindoor tribe’s toes!!
Now I need to find a florist in the UK!
no doubt she look lovely in both… but whats up with the choodas? … i mean i know she is married to a punjabi… so she should know that you can’t wear them when and whenever… its special and sacred… it has a meaning… i know i might be over reacting… but it does not feel right!!!
what are choodas?
I was thinking the same thing. You can’t wear and take off your chooda randomly to match your outfit! She got married a long time ago and took it off almost immediately, so how is she suddenly wearing it again? Its a sacred thing, not some random red bangles. There’s some ceremony attached to wearing and taking it off. Its not right!
the green neeta lulla saree!
Chooda is one of the most important ceremonies without which Punjabi wedding cannot be accomplished. The role of mama and mami of a bride is very significant during this ceremony. The oldest maternal uncle and aunt of bride and her parents observe fast until the ceremony is completed. Then Pundit performs a havan. Then everybody presents there touches the Chooda and give blessings and warm wishes to bride. The Chooda is normally a set of red and cream ivory bangles. Then the chooda is dipped in kachi lasi. Here bride is not allowed to see her chooda, therefore, the chooda is wrapped into a white cloth. Once bride takes bath, she can see her chooda. Then bride puts Chooda around her wrist; she also wears iron bangles with shells and beads, and a mauli. All these give the bride protection from the evils. After the ceremony, flower petals are showered on the bride and Prasad is distributed among all. Bride’s maternal uncle and aunt, friends and cousins tie kaliras (silver, gold or gold plated traditional ornaments tied to Chooda). Finally, before going to her husband’s home, bride has to tap one of her unmarried female friends or cousins with her kaliras. This indicates that one who is tapped will be the next bride.
A new punjabi bride wears the chooda for her first year of marriage without taking them off..,. even while bathing!!!!
It’s funny but ever young punjabi girl eagerly awaits her choodas :)
