Wearing a sari from R.S Brothers, Rakul attended a store launch in Hyderabad. Flowers in her hair, a small matching bindi and gold jewelry from Tibarumal rounded out the look. She wears the sari well; Rakul looked lovely!

I roll my eyes when I see Bollywood starlets dress up in kanjeevarams and flowers when they attend events in South India…. She looks good, but I prefer retaining your sense of style and adding accents to your outfit that would be relevant to the event/location rather than donning a new avatar based on where you are…

Lovely indeed! Proves the point that there’s no need to go for the overrated designer wear when u have such good options available at the local stores.
I somehow can’t seem to like such blouses with Kanjeevarams. Am totally old school on this. She could have just elevated the look so much by choosing a beautiful elbow length blouse.

I completely agree with you. I like traditional regular blouses with Kanchivarams and other silk woven sarees. This type of blouse suits with chiffon sarees and cotton sarees.
