Wearing Her Own
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Pratima wear her own and may we say we like it? We totally heart this caftan… perfect to lounge around with a great glass of wine… or champagne! ;)
This caftan is part of her (Pratima’s) Autumn-Winter 09 collection and will hit retailers by September.

love love love…would have loved it more with actualy flowy kaftan sleeves, but this works just a well!!
Lovely, I have always been a fan of plain silk/cotton with a simple border.
You’ve got to be kidding me!!! There’s nothing creative in this…infact I’ve seen dresses like these plenty of times before. Only difference being my mom used them as night gowns.
Yeah, perfect for lounging around,….at home, not at a party!!!
this is one of the most non creative things i have seen ever! This choodidaars used to be in vogue sometime back.Mangalgiri cottons they are called. It just looks like a choodidaar with missing bottm
I absolutely love this! perfect blend of ethnic and western! love the shade of gold or rather bronze with the black!!
P&P – any idea which stores will carry this?
AnnMM,
Ensemble will be carrying it.
oh I love this piece… sexy in a subtle way.. now this is authentic gr8 fashion
That is a nice caftan but not event appropriate. It is something you would wear for a casual at home event.
Why are people not wearing the appropriate clothes to events? It irks me to see it happening all the time – even Aamir wore jeans to meet with Hillary Clinton.
Lmao..yes, this does look like the night gowns sported by my mom, back home ;)
This dress would look totally blah and inappropriate if Pratima were not showing her leg.
i love this kaftan — other than the awesomeness created by the dreamy atmosphere – the light, the center piece on the center table, heck, even the carpet – the ensemble is well put together. Very sensuous.
dont you think it’s too too loose..like a nightie??
Yea it’s a really pretty night gown .. not a party dress!!! Even if it’s black and gold – not for a party!
are you kidding it looks from fashion street or u cut up yr granny sari and went to local tailor —what designer about it
I saw this on MM earlier – Its stunning and so different! Caftans are so Mediterranean chic and elegant. Perfect for an ambience like Sea Lounge! need more of thes e in Mumbai! I want one in black and white!
It’s so shapeless & looks like an elongated kurta with a missing churidar.
Its nice…but I would have belted it to emphasize a waistline…
P&P, I’ll be in mumbai…could you tell me where the hub is for all theses indian designers…swapnil shinde, ranna gill…are they all in one particular mall? Sorry, I’ve never been to mumbai
Anu,
Go to The Directory and Shop Tab, there you will find lots more information on where each designer retails at and what stores, specially Ranna Gill.
Kaftans are meant to be shapeless for starters remember! Boho chic.
think its very stylish. its not nightgown at all. see the international designers and their shapes are all similar . very cutting edge and tough to carry the way she does it here. in fact the neck and embellishment is stunning. think she has an email on miss malini you can order it from
I’m sorry but she just added a few inches to a regular kurta and calls it a kaftan ….I would never wear this. This is really not a “creation ” and its weird some one can it their own idea or thought…
i quite like it. i’d wear it at a party i’d throw at home or something in more summery colours to a pool party
@Indian girl.. I was going to say the same thing.
god where are the pyjamas?????????????????
pl stop wearing ur own!!
Very Jackie Kenneddy! First Kaftan I have seen on HHC. Any idea how much this would retail at?
Here’s another Mumbai A Lister who knows her stuff. Minimal, Elegant and Edgy. Cool Kaftan. Love her hair!
Jackie kenneddy and A-lister..uhmmm let’s get those definitions right shall we?!! she does nothing to make that kaftan look good..and it really could use all the help!!
