How gorgeous is Madhoo in the bronze sari. For those who are saying this look is OTT, remember this is a South Indian wedding, where OTT is the norm. Also, for the first look I would have liked for her to put up her hair and add a mogra. The necklaces are gorgeous. For the Sabyasachi, I would probably have gone with turquoise accessories.
That’s a sweeping statement and not entirely true. Among South INdians, Telugu weddings and some Malayalee communities are the ones with loaded jewellery and clothes; the Tamilians and Kannadigas usually are less dressed up and not OTT for the most part.
Hema Malini is Tamilian and so is Madhoo so she is OTT for a Tamilian wedding!
Please get your facts right
You clearly have not seen it all. There are lot of castes in Tamilnadu and yes they deck in kilos of gold . As with Brahmins, you are right, they don’t do so much bling in the wedding but then it doesn’t mean we dont wear enough gold and diamonds. Plus this is a Tamil/punjabi celebrity wedding. I don’t see any reason not to bling out.
She repeats the necklace:) yippee!!!! She wore the same one on a yellow red kanjeevaram for Eshas wedding… She definitely looks so glam!! Love both her looks:)
@ Adara – You said it yourself , brahmins dont load up on the bling. ;case in point- Hema and Madhoo are Tam-bram. Clearly you haven’t seen it all either:)
necklace took my attention in both looks…especially in suit -.-
That saari is hurting my eyes. The pop of dark red was a nice idea but that particular necklace was a bad idea.
Wow thats some serious neckwear:) she looks really lovely in both pics . Looks like a vintage benarsi saree in the first one…very nice.
if cheekbones is not your special feature, why would you emphasize them with too much blush..
love that necklace…bad make up..not floored by any of her outfits
Agree with Urvi..the necklace she’s wearing with the saree is gorgeous…but both outfits have too much gold for my liking.
I adore her saree. She looks really nice in both actually. Fab necklace with that saree.
Neither..only lusting for the mundane neckpiece with the silk saree
* Kundan .. Damn you autocorrect !!
That saree is very bridal (and blingy) – the kinds worn by the bride rather than a relative. She does carry it well, though.

Oopsie, totally forgot to add. Madhoo is a Tamilian and this is her cousin’s wedding. Of course she has all the reasons to bling out.
Love her in the chocolate sari…the colour suits her well and she wears it gorgeously.
Super love the saree – esp on her !
